It'd be easier for him if he could stay healthy and fight more often than once a year. Hard to gain momentum that way.

Also, bantamweight champion Dominic "The Dominator" Cruz has tore his ACL and has been forced out of his UFC 148 co-main event title defense against former WEC Featherweight champion "The California Kid" Urijah Faber. Faber said over twitter he thinks fighting Renan Barao makes the most sense.

Benson Henderson vs. Frankie Edgar II has been confirmed for UFC 150 in Denver, COL on August 11th.

Also Urijah Faber will fight for a interim bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 148. No opponent has been announced, but Renan Barao makes the most sense.

Korean Zombie vs. Dustin "Diamond" Poirier tomorrow night, picks?

I say Poirier, but Zombie has some sick skills on the ground. Another twister?

Fights in just over an hour. Nobody has any picks? Am I the only MMA fan left? Oh well, I'm still gonna post.

That was a fun fight :)

I love Korean Zombie's ground game, it's nasty. I knew him as a slugger from WEC but his ground game is what really seems to be shining in the UFC.

This place is pathetic.

JDS vs. Velasquez II most likely next.

Also, Vitor Belfort has broke his hand and recquires surgery, out indefinitely. Whichs leaves Wandy opponentless for UFC 147.

Brock Lesnar may return to the UFC. Dana White hinted so last night.

Your prelim choices kinda screwed you, no?

Struve is so fucking tall that just watching him work next to the cage that guy was obviously fucking screwed. His legs just consumed that guy.

Del Rosario looked like a joke. He did nothing that whole fight except make one or two solid kicks. He deserved to lose.

I like Big Country's style and seeing how huge Herman was I was like 'oh shit. he may never land a punch'. Then BAM! Bitch got owned. He crumbled so pathetically.

I don't like Velasquez and so kinda wanted to see Silva whip up on him for at least one round. I didn't see him winning but wanted him to have a chance. Then his bridge got ripped open and that was ridic.

Mir's a douche and Dos Santos dominated on him. I was thinking yesterday just how badass it was that every time Mir tried to take it to the ground Dos Santos was like stand your ass up. Then how he reached over that bullshit knee just to clock him was pretty awesome. And that random hammer punch at the end. Oh if you aren't done yet BAM, bitch!

That Mike Brown fight may have been the most technically interesting fight. Every other fight being huge punches that this one was actually fun to watch. Pineda just lifting him up off the ground was so cool.

I enjoy reading your fight breakdowns, but how can you not like Velasquez? He fucking destroyed Brock Lesnar and pretty much everybody else he's fought. Just the win the over Lesnar alone should make everybody love him. If not, his wins over Big Nog, Ben Rothwell, Cheick Kongo, and now Bigfoot Silva should at least make you respect him as a fighter. A dominant fighter. And I can not wait for JDS/Velasquez II. A healthy Cain Velasquez is a scary man. Dos Santos fought a one legged Velasquez.

And I love Cigano.

I just watched Velasquez dominate Lesnar last night actually on reruns. That was pretty awesome. He's solid but I don't know he lacks spark.

Both Thiago Silva and Thiago Alves have pulled out of their UFC 149 bouts due to injury. They were scheduled to fight Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Siyar Bahadurzada respectively. Bahadurzada is already a replacement for Yoshihiro Akiyama, who also backed out due to injury. The UFC wants Glover Texiera to fight "Shogun", but apparently Rua want nothing to do with him. Texiera made his UFC debut last weekend by destroying UFC vet Kyle Kingsbury.

Watch his fight with Big Nog if you want spark. The guy has only lost 1 fight in his career and that's to the current champ. He's basically a quieter heavyweight version of Chael Sonnen.

After watching Rua and Hendo, Rua doesn't do it for me anyways. I'd kinda like to see him get destroyed.

Terrible night of picks...

And trapt, watch some Shogun fights from 2005-2007. Basically anything he did before having both knees rebuilt several times. He was an animals back in the day.
