Provided I pass my audition next month. If I fail then expect the countdown to vanish, and me to be very miserable.

Good luck...

What are you going to study?

Heh, no doubt I shall make a big song and dance about it just before I go to the audition so you can say good luck then :D

But I want to do a postgraduate degree in jazz performance at the Guildhall in London.

Ooh. Very middle-class of you!

 :(

There goes my "man of the people" image.

A few free concerts'll retrieve your image, don't worry. Maybe play in a soup kitchen once a week?

I want to release an album called "Rio plays: The Red Flag and all your favourite socialist hits!"

Seriously, I want to do that. 8)

There's no such genre, but it is very common for jazz musicians to be over that way <<<<<<<<<<<

I don't know how to feel. There was a fire half an hour ago one story below my apartment.

Its 3 after midnight here, I was getting ready for the bed. The doorbell rang 3 times, can't possibly be a good sign. My father says "yes?" and the woman says "There's a fire in the ground floor". I get up and open the door, it smells terrible and there's smoke in the house. As I was opening the door a loud explosion goes. I rush downstairs and saw that the fire dept. already came. They were putting it out and it was under contol, the explosion was an anti-bug spray can, which made a louder noise than you think it would.

I wasn't as scared as I thought one person would be, still it was unpleasant. I don't think I'm sleeping tonight because a tension headache came to stay, my neck is all stiff.

I feel confused. Looks like my job may be remaining here, but just about every other department in the building is getting moved.

I mean..."yay"...but why are they moving hundreds of jobs to a different country and keeping a team of 8 in Glasgow? It makes no damn sense. Plus, I feel guilty for all the poor bastards losing their jobs.

Kathy: The same thing happened at the apartment building where i live about a year ago. The drunk who lives on the ground floor had passed out while cooking, and managed to start a fire in his kitchen. I was pretty freaked for a moment.

Anyways, glad you're safe.
