Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - 7.5/10

Some extremely funny lines/moments in this movie, but overall it is abit disappointing and boring in parts, nowheres near Anchorman.

Watched superman returns at the imax... it was better than most comic book movies until the climax sucked and the ending was like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. it should have had superman throwing the rock into space, flying around triumphantly a bit, then kevin spacey being pissed off on the island and then the ending. not all of that bullshit with the hospital and stuff. Seriously I can't believe Kevin Spacey and Parker Posey were in such a bad movie :lame: .

I wish I could have the 2.5 hours of my life back that I spent watching that. So boring. They should have done more with his son. The part where he chucked the piano was the best part of the whole movie.

Yeah... I think they should have done more (actually give it a point), or less (take it out) with his son. There was way too much stuff going on in that movie (Lois vs her boss, lois + superman, lois + richard, lois + clark kent, the lex luther plot, superman being the kid's dad, superman flying around all cool and shit) that it just seemed like nothing happened by the end of it. I probably would have liked it if they'd made in an hour and a half long and cut out everything except the Lex Luther stuff.

+1

And add "hey maybe they should have given Luthor an evil plan that actually made some kind of practical sense."

i loved the scene in Talladega Nights in the hospital with Ricky, his race partner (whatever his name was) and that black guy pit manager.

but i felt that they could've done SO much more with Ali G's character..

I think they subdued Cohen's character and didn't give him many good lines because he's much funnier than Wil Ferrel.

Lol. She's heading off into the woods with a ridiculously creepy-looking poacher at the moment. No good will come of this.

And am I the only one who hated Sherri Palmer from the start?

No. You're the only one who thought you were the only one who hated her from the start. I want to cut her.

They also recycle the same damn thing for Season 3.

Normally they're quite good at dropping characters if they would be useless in the next season, but they kept Elisha around waaaaay too long.

Brick. Pretty good homage to early noir films.

Dude, that movie blows retarded goats. The acting is wooden as shit, and the whole thing is a long drawn out bore. Not that Red Dragon was much better, but nobody should waste their time with Manhunter.

Yeah I can't imagine it being that good since the only thing that made Red Dragon good was anthony hopkins and edward norton... the plot was fairly standard for suspense movies...

Your nuts man, it is an awesome movie. You might not like Mann's style but like he did with Heat he knows how to make a great movie? Wooden acting, real life is wooden dude and it gets translated well here, especially just with a type of surreal and haggard look on Wills fce. I don't even think you have seen it........ :)

The mood, tone, all follows the book closely and works well plus it is just surreal in parts.

Manhunter is a great movie, I am not that only one that thinks so either...... Some other comments....

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091474/usercomments

of course if you have the attention span of a gnat, 16 years old and want everything handed to you or think Joe Dirt and Ricky Bobby are the height of film making this might not be for you.

Trust me, Manhunter is the shit.
