Gasol is great, skilled player. Anyone would want him on their team.

He's also a tremendous flopper.

And the officials completely changed the way they called the game in the 4th quarter, thus getting the Lakers to the free throw line early and often.

The Lakers had 6 FGs in the 4th quarter yet scored 30 points.

The Lakers also had more FT attempts in the 4th quarter than the Celtics did the entire game.

So again, congrats to the Lakers fans...

Well, the Celtics also missed a number of LAYUPS and open shots. Not to mention the fact that they looked tired in the forth. They literally shut down. If we say the refs won the game for the Lakers, then we can go back early in the series and point out a
number of favorable calls for the Celtics.

That is baloney. The free throw disparity for the series was totally unbalanced. Some could be explained by the different styles of both teams, but all of it?

Yes, if Ray Allen wasn't a corpse on offense, they would have won. Agreed on that.

So again, congrats for your team's win.

Meh. I hope Lebron stays in Cleveland. I think that kind of stability is good for the NBA.

On the Suns front, I think Amare is gone, especially now that Kerr is out.

Yeah, maybe. After our postseason success, though, I'm less sure that he's going to leave. If he comes back, we'd have essentially the same team and it's very possible that we could replicate this season's success--if not probable.

And I REALLY hope Lebron leaves Cleveland. I love Lebron, but I dislike everyone else on that team--especially Mo Williams. I'd love to see him team up with another legit star, which he's never had.

What Lebron needs is a good coach, someone that teachs him that he's great, but he needs a team to work him... as PJ did with Jordan time ago.

With LeBron and Chris Bosh signing to join Wade the season is over before it even started...

Yeah, that trio is going to be absolutely ridiculous...some would probably say Lebron and Wade are the two best players in the league. Basketball isn't a three-man game, though, and for that reason I don't think they're unbeatable. They're gonna have to fill out the rest of their roster with cheap, cheap guys considering they're spending so much money on those three, so we'll see what they can do. I still pick the Heat as the favorites to win next year.

In other news, Hedo Turkoglu to the Suns. This pisses me off...Turkloglu sucks and his contract is even worse. Josh Childress is a good pickup, though.

I'm giving up on the Suns. They will certainly suck next year.

The Heat on the other hand, should win it all. They will pick up some good role players than don't mind taking a little less money.

What they need is a good coach. Without a good coach, someone that teach them that one+one+one !=a team, everything will go wrong in the team.

Someone remembers lakers with O'Neal, Bryant, Malone, Payton & Fisher losing against Detroit Pistons? Sometime just putting the best players together doesn't work.

Yeah, that's a good analogy, but this is just on another level. At that time, O'Neal, Malone, and Payton were all past their primes. They were still very good, don't get me wrong, but Malone and Payton especially weren't in the upper echelon of the league's players at that time. That left them with one elite player (Kobe) and another very, very good one (Shaq) who I would compare to Bosh at this time. Fisher sucks.

With the Heat, we have, arguably, the top two players in the league (un-arguably the best player and another in the top four) combined with another top-ten talent. And they're all in/entering their primes...It's gonna be unreal.

On a side note, I haven't given up on the Suns. We could be very good next year--we're deep as fuck. We'll see what happens.

Fisher has his veteran moments, but they are very few. Rumor has it he will go to the Heat. Zydrunas Ilgauskas has also been rumored to go to the Heat. If this is true, the Heat will be unstoppable. If not, LeBron and Wade will clash. I don't see Wade 'sharing' his city.

Also, LeBron has zero loyalty and I hope he fails miserably in the rest of his career. I would've had some respect if he had stayed in Clevland, or even a northern state. Miami is a party city with warm climate year round. He went to Miami for a reason that has nothing to do with bball.

Nonsense. He will make less money at the Heat than he could have with the Cavs.
He just want a ring and, imo, he deserves it.

Build around what you have. Kobe didn't leave. He was close, but he stuck with it and formed a dynasty. Jordan didn't leave, he got his Pippen and formed the best team in NBA history. LeBron left becasue he has no loyalty to his dieing city. He could've had something great there.

Also, he isn't taking that much less money. There is no state tax in Florida and its over the course of how many years?

Clevelend is a shithole. I'm surprised he didn't leave earlier.

Lebron stayed in Cleveland for seven years, the vast majority of which the organization fielded a team which absolutely sucked besides him and a small portion of which they fielded a team which was quite good besides him, but still wasn't enough. Kobe was threatening to leave after two, maybe three years out of championship contention. I don't blame Lebron at all for leaving; however, the whole "Decision" thing was extremely ill-conceived and was just a douche move to the city of Cleveland.

It's clear that he wants to win. Why else would he sacrifice at least a little salary and arguably a large part of his legacy to play in Miami? That's the only qualm I have about him joining Miami...I'd like to see him forge his own identity and make a franchise his own rather than sharing it with two other top-tier players. This is a guy who could be the greatest ever, but now I doubt that he'll ever garner that reputation.

And you have been to Cleveland?

Cleveland gets enough unwarranted shit from Americans as it is.

I have. Did a NYC-Chicago 3 years ago and went through Cleveland. Boring city.

Ah, well of course it is going to be 'boring' compared to NYC or Chicago.

The center city/lake front is pretty, clean, and very walkable in the winter.

I'm going to be a sick ass basketball player into my mid 20's and if I ever make it I'm going to have a great story to tell. I believe I'll make it in basketball to some extent, whether coaching, playing, something of that nature.

My game is increasingly getting better. Starting to get a lot of good rolls on my layups, rather than the ball rolling out it's rolling in. My jumpshot is not as good as it used to be but then again I'm constantly lifting weights (6 times a week), so who knows. Just going to keep playing and working on my game little by little and I know where I'll be going.

Basketball has changed my life quite a bit.

I remember when I was a kid I couldn't even shoot the ball with 2 hands I was so weak. Only about 5'1 til 10th grade, after that was fucked in the head. Now I'm 5'11 or so.

I had a serious attitude adjustment last year spending 45 days in a mental institution and having my game go completely down the gutter. In the long run I'll be better for it though.
