The Devils score, but it's too little too late. The Flyers win game one 2-1 and take a 1-0 series lead.

Philly currently beating NJ 2-0 with just over 9 minutes to go in the 3rd.

Still got 2 more games tonight. Fucking playoffs! :dio:

How did the Penguins achilles heel, Fleury, look out there?

The Coyotes just beat the Wings 3-2 to take a 1-0 series lead and the Sharks-Avs game is tied at 1s with roughly 8 minutes left in the 3rd.

And the Avs score with less than 50 seconds to go in the 3rd to win the game 2-1 and get a 1-0 series lead.

Leave it to the Sharks to make a listless team that limped into the playoffs suddenly the favorites in a series.

if he's from Toronto and was openly watching a Sens game, then he clearly is gay.

No televison coverage in Canada for the Hawks-Preds game tonight.

A giant WTF

the Sharks just looked weak and dis-interested. They had the Avs on the ropes I the first, but couldn't score. Heatley only had like 1 shot on goal. It's said when 40 year old Rob Blake looked the best out there.

In th other Western series, both Howard and Bryzgalov looked shaky. Bryzgalov early and Howard later. That Holmstrom goal should not o went in, but neither should have the Yandle goal. Wings PK was shit.

A bit late predictions:

Washington vs. Canadians: Washington in 6. I gotta give my Habs at least two games, and they have played well against Washington all year, but I can't deny that Washington is just too good.

New Jersey vs. Philly: Devils in 6. This one was hard, because Philly has dominated New Jersey every time I've watched them play this year, but I trust in Brodeur, Kovalchuk and Parise. And Philly has really sucked recently.

Ottawa vs. Pittsburgh: Ottawa in 7. I think that Ottawa, when they play well (as they have been lately), is an extremely underrated team this year. And it's not like the Kovalev injury really matters for all he had been doing (ie, no points for ten games, then one crazy game with 8 goals and twenty assists, then no points for ten games, etc...)

Boston vs. Buffalo: Buffalo in 5. Miller will be awesome, and the Bruins just don't have it this year. Then again, Rask and Thomas aren't to be laughed at either.

Detroit vs. Phoenix: Detroit in 7. I'm a big Detroit fan, but I expect Phoenix to give them trouble (as they did last night). Still, I think Lidstrom and co. can still pull through.

Colorado vs. San Jose: Colorado in 6. I know, I know, San Jose is remarkably stronger, the Avs have become weaker lately and I will probably be proved wrong. But I have absolutely no faith in San Jose in the playoffs anymore. Every year looks like it can't go wrong for them, and then it does.

Los Angeles vs. Vancouver: LA in 5. Vancouver's defence and Luongo are looking shaky.

Nashville vs. Chicago: Chicago in 4. As long as Chicago's goaltending doesn't become a problem (and with the minimal amount of shots they let on goal, I'm not sure it will), they should have little problem.

Go Habs go!

Edit: Oh, and thanks Brian Burke, you truly know how to fuck over the rest of your division. I swear, if Toronto gets in the bottom five again next year...

Boston down 2-1 with 7 seconds left in the 3rd and Chara takes a penalty. So, unless we get a miracle, Buffalo wins game one 2-1 and get a 1-0 series lead. Boston should of won, but Miller does what he does best and that's make big saves.

Montreal and Washington are going to OT tied at 2s. Playoff OT is the best, I just hope it doesn't go more than 2 periods. Then it gets slow and boring.

What an OT, end to end action, saves, hits, everything you'd want. It's pretty fitting that Plekanec scores the winner as he is the one who called out Theodore saying he's not as good as Brodeur or Miller. So the Habs win game one 3-2 in OT and take a 1-0 series lead.

It couldn't of ended in better time as the Kings-Nucks game is just starting.

Man I love the playoffs, every game is televised.

WOOOOOOOOOO! GO HABS GO! What an awesome game after the first period. Couldn't be any prouder. They played ridiculously hard, our top players did what they had to do and our bottom lines drew penalties and got in dirty like they should. And quadruple kudos to Spacek in particular... Ovechkin without a shot! That's just ridiculous.

And a win at home against the Caps, who have lost 5-6 games at home all season, is huge. This is what I want. We may not win this series, but as long as we fight all the way and kick ass, I'm happy.

And this whole Pleks/Theodore controversy is so stupid. Pleks' full quote went something like: "Washington has three great goalies, but they're not Miller or Brodeur." This is undeniably true, and nowhere near trash talk. Then Boudreau claimed Theodore had a better win record than Miller/Brodeur since the Olympics, which is also true, and did not attack Halak/Price. I hate the media sometimes.

What Theodore said about Plekanec was good though, calling him Jagr. Gotta admit that was pretty funny.

Jonathon Quick is playing huge so far, giving the Nucks nothing at all. But the skill the Nucks have is incredible..

But as I type this, Samuelsson scores.

Good game so far.
