WOOOOOOOOOO! GO HABS GO! What an awesome game after the first period. Couldn't be any prouder. They played ridiculously hard, our top players did what they had to do and our bottom lines drew penalties and got in dirty like they should. And quadruple kudos to Spacek in particular... Ovechkin without a shot! That's just ridiculous.

And a win at home against the Caps, who have lost 5-6 games at home all season, is huge. This is what I want. We may not win this series, but as long as we fight all the way and kick ass, I'm happy.

And this whole Pleks/Theodore controversy is so stupid. Pleks' full quote went something like: "Washington has three great goalies, but they're not Miller or Brodeur." This is undeniably true, and nowhere near trash talk. Then Boudreau claimed Theodore had a better win record than Miller/Brodeur since the Olympics, which is also true, and did not attack Halak/Price. I hate the media sometimes.

That was all the story was? What a joke.
Spacek...wow, I never saw him holding Ovechkin shotless.

Game 1 of Bruins Sabres was as expected. They just have to win 4 of the next 6 games, probably by the same 2-1 score.

Spacek was against Ovie all night, or most of it.

And the Nucks just beat LA in OT 3-2. Now that was a playoff game. Quick was very good.

Man I dunno if I like caring about a team in the playoffs. Overtime was too tense. Montreal vs Washington was buckets of fun to watch though.

Ugh, tough game. Quick almost stole it... Can't rely on him doing all the work, the rest of the team needs to pick their 5 on 5 game up.

If all the Nucks-Kings games are going to be like game 1, then it will be one helluva series.

Pittsburgh wins game two 2-1 and ties the series at 1s. Crosby had two amazing plays in the 3rd, saving a goal at the goal line and completely outbattling and out-hustling Spezza behind the net and throwing a nice pass to Letang who puts it in the back of the net.

Currently the Devils and Flyers are tied at 3s going into the 3rd and the Preds-Hawks are still scoreless in the 2nd.

Kovalchuk scores on the empty net to make it 5-3 and ultimately win the game. Series now tied 1-1.

Last I checked, Hawks up 1-0 2nd intermission and the Wings-Yotes game just started.

What Theodore said about Plekanec was good though, calling him Jagr. Gotta admit that was pretty funny.

Ha, that was pretty funny.

Good game between Devils and Philly. Didn't get a chance to watch the Ottawa one.

it's tough having 3 games on at once

as if San Jose is already down 1-0...

Preds score on an empty net with 48 seconds left to go up 3-1, and as I type this another empt netter, so now 4-1. Game is all but over. Nashville up 1-0 in the series now.

So the HP Pavillion was bumpin last night. Scoring with 34 seconds left to tie, then the crazy OT. Maybe after a hard fought win, they will finally learn what it takes to win in the playoffs. But I still doubt it.

Series tied 1-1

Zetterberg scored a hat-trick last night, first of his career. Plus the crazy flurry of goals, like 4 goals in 3 minutes or some shit? Crazy stuff anyway. Shane Doan is a beast. He was made for the playoffs, guy hits everything and he hits them hard. One shift he ha 3 hits in a ten second span.

series tied 1-1

3 and a half minutes to go. 40 seconds left on the washington penalty. 5-4 for my Habs. So fucking intense. I LOVE THE PLAYOFFS.

Edit: 5-5, OT here we come! I HATE THE PLAYOFFS.

Sadness. But definitely a fun game, and the Caps played hard as hell. Still, refs need to shape up; so many non-called goalie interferences, and Markov got high sticked as hell on the last Caps goal in regulation. I know, Gary Bettmann, I know you want to ensure Crosby and Ovechkin play each other, but really. Oh well... There's always next game. Like I said before, even if we lose this series, at least we're playing hard and making some good games out of it.

As much as I hate the Habs, they have been playing great. I was going to say earlier that I like the fact that hardwork is beating skill. But it didn't, kinda. Great game regardless, and I honestly can't wait for game 3, it will be loud as hell in Montreal.

Out west, we are going to OT again. Nucks were up 2-0 but blew it and is now tied, obviously. OT should be intense as hell, as usual with any playoff OT game. I'm ready for a marathon tonight, let's say 3 OT periods? Yes please.

Not quite a marathon, but a fitting end nonetheless. Kings have scored 5 of their 6 playoff goals on the PP. Kopitar scores his first career playoff goal, and it couldn't be bigger.

series tied 1-1
