trapt, I don't think you realize how good Hendo is.
I really underrate him. I see him as old when he's still physically in shape and has been around long enough to know how shit gets done.

Most of his glory days are behind him yes, but at 43 he's still an ass kicker. But back in the PRIDE days he held both the 185 and 205 lbs titles at the same time, defeating a who's-who in competition to earn those titles. And PRIDE fights are brutal man, knees and kicks to downed opponents, foot stomps, basically anything goes when your on the ground. And Hendo rules two divisions full of monsters and roid monkeys. He was mostly likely on the juice too, but who's not anymore. His right hand is nicknamed the H-Bomb. The Bisping clip shows why. When he came to the UFC from PRIDE, he was legitimately expected to defeat Anderson Silva. Silva was gonna get smashed, and after round one, it seemed that was inevitable. Then Silva submits him. Like its nothing. Like Hendo never fought a ground game in his life.

I don't know where this is going really, Silvas the fuckin man I guess? But so is(was) Hendo.

really does seem like very, very few guys could beat Silva, certainly in middleweight anyway, I suppose if he went up and fought Jones that'd be one hell of a challenge for him but I think Jones would probably get the win, only other one I see is GSP but being so out of the loop I don't know if he's fighting in welterweight still or if he's now fighting middleweight

or maybe Machida? I don't know I really need to get caught back up on this shit

yeah having looked into Machida a bit more there's no chance of that one

guess that leaves GSP or Jones, plus a few guys who would be dying for a title fight against him and possibly some guys from strikeforce

Junior Dos Santos says he's looking to submit Velasquez next weekend. If the fight stays standing, then yes he'll knock him out, by if Cain wants to turn it into a ground war, JDS wants the submission.

Imagine the UFCs best boxer submit arguably the UFCs best grappler/wrestler.

Free cards are cool and all, but they don't have the atmosphere/energy of a PPV.

Not the biggest loss, but Cody McKenzie is out of his UFC 155 bout with Leonard Garcia. They are openly looking for a replacement opponent.

McKenzie joins Forrest Griffin and Gray Maynard as the group of guys who were suppose to fight next weekend gets bigger and bigger.

"Ruthless" Robbie Lawler is back in the UFC and will fight Josh Koscheck at UFC 157. Also, fresh off his dominant win last weekend, Chad Mendes will meet Manny Gamburyan also at UFC 157.

Former title challenger Patrick "The Predator" Coté has announced that he will be dropping from middleweight (185) to welterweight (170) and wants a fight for UFC 158 in Montreal.

Fight week. Picks?

I got Belcher, Boetsch, Lauzon, JDS. Am I forgetting a fight?

Absolutely brutal night of picks for me. Only guessed Jamie Varner right.

Velasquez vs. Overeem in 2013? Yes please. Although I was looking forward to JDS-Overeem.

If it is any comfort at all (it shouldn't be) I didn't do much better.

Man, Velasquez... I knew he had the potential but to see it realized against a guy like JDS in such a devastating manner was almost shocking. A freight train of destruction. Overeem won't last two rounds.

I hope Velasquez destroys Overeem. I think Werdum could give Cain a good challenge though.

that was depressing to watch. junior looked pathetic.

Lauzon's leglock at the end was so cool.
