Ron Paul looks like a short-haired Gandalf.

He shall not pass.

I don't care what he looks like... Zero looks like a jug-eared monkey, so did W... that didn't stop the moronic voters in this country from putting the reins in their greasy hands.

Ron Paul is the man. While I don't agree with everything he says, I agree with a helluva lot, and he is not averse to the truth.

Neocons have got to go. Unfortunately, the man probably has little chance of winning the White House, due to the vast majority of our citizenry having the attention span of a hummingbird.

So, it'll be Zero vs. whatever neocon slimeball that the GOP nominates... not looking pretty, but at least my conscience will be clean.

No, Ron Paul has credibility at the very least.

Although I'm still betting on David Duke.

Thought he was supporting Gary Johnson? Won't this split the libertarian vote, or does it work differently to that...

Did a quick search, as I only knew his name, and wow. He sure isn't a good ol' prick à la W. : not against stem-cell research (he even opposed W's administration on the subject, nice !), against (application of) death penalty, basically opposed to military interventions, libertarian... The guy's sexy indeed.

Ah, he's pro-guns. Nobody is perfect.

Ron Paul at least in theory should be a logical choice for progressives, the man is socially liberal and he isn't advocating the complete death knell of entitlement programs. I'm voting for him as he's on the ball for my views on foreign policy, getting rid of the Patriot Act, and getting spending under control.

What is so abhorrent about being for the second amendment, it may be nearly impossible to attain firearms in France, but thats not the way things work here.

You are right when you say both countries are different and should not be compared on this matter (I rephrased a bit). But let's just say I'm very attached to the notion of public order. And, IMHO of course, public order and firearms just don't match.

But hey. Not my country, not the streets I have to walk on. Just sayin'.

There's probably a couple of thousands of kalashnikovs to be found in the banlieus of Paris, where public order is scarce at best. Just sayin'.

It's just as well, one can only imagine what cheezy assed gfts they would bear, in the Zeroes' case at least.
Saves us any further embarrassment.

Useless fucking media, they'd rather cover a wedding as opposed to any actually issues with SUBSTANCE. It's a pitiful day when the American public cares more for a wedding, with a 60% divorce rate and wedding occuring on a daily basis. Fuck them all.

Yes, it is.

The most ridiculous aspect of this story, of course, is how it is framed as an effrontery towards St. Obama.
Fuck him.

It made me smile, though.

The Obama pitch was largely used for the means of ratings, the corporate encroachment on the media has made it less about the public good, and more for mindfucking stories that attract viewers and create revenue for massive conglomerates like GE whom Obozo cherishes, Media corps (Neocon central), who stand to nullify the minds of Americans so much to where they can move along with their business as usual agenda. While we circle the drain collectively, they reap the benefits with massive profits.

It's weird, because the royal wedding is front page news here daily (at least on Yahoo news)... does anyone really care?
I suppose they must, since it is non-stop, step-by-step coverage.
Anything to distract the drones from their reality, I guess.

Nah. A couple of dozen for the whole territory, at best (worst). And mostly used by the drugs lords and organized crime, in south of France (Marseilles, Corsica). The (serious !) problems in Paris area you're referring to (mostly north of Paris) don't involve fire weapons much. Yet.

The number of deaths with a gun involved is still less than 100 deaths/year here. The last time I checked, the figure was above 30000 deaths/year for the USA, with a population being 5 times French population. That said, I am not exhibiting France as an example whatsoever : we suck at pretty much everything, public order enforcement efficiency included.

You optimistic blind fool, you!
There sure is a shitload of automatic weapons in circulation in and around Paris, an awful lot more than you'd fear in your worst nightmares. Lucky us, there used more as ways of intimidation than action but, given the "right" circumstances, it can sure end in a bloodbath à la Columbine but on a larger/scarier scale.

I'm saying there are certain ones that I listed, posted them, not impaled them, generalized about business owners, list archaic examples of bad working conditions, and use links by propagandists to suit my point. Commieboy
