well..

I don't think it was kicked in, but it doesn't matter anyway. Kings win their first home playoff game in 8 years. The Nucks were coming on strong towards the end there, but Quick stood his ground. Kings win 5-3 and take a 2-1 series lead.

I'm kinda neutral on the kicking thing. From what I understand of the rule it could've gone either way since he definitely tried to get the puck in the net and added to it's velocity. Kinda sorry for whoever had to make the call. Kings deserved the win because even though the Canucks came out strong with hits in the first, they shut down the Sedins for most of the game and our goalie sucked.

Woo, hell yeah! :dio:

I don't know all the specifics of the kicking motion rule but it looked like a good goal to me. A bit borderline for sure and I definitely think the intent was there but as far as I know intent doesn't matter. Vancouver got the goal right back though so I'd argue the call didn't affect the outcome of the game.

even if they allowed it, I think the Kings still win. They had the fans keeping them alive all night.

Jimmy Howard makes 28 saves to record his first career playoff shut-out.

Series tied 2-2

8 goals in the 2nd period alone. This is not a goaltenders series. Pens win 7-4 and take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Kovalchuk is too Russian for the Devils. He's got all the talent, but he doesn't play Jacques Lemaires system. Yeah he's got 6 points in the series so far, but he doesn't play a very good team game. This is not Atlanta anymore. Flyers win 4-1 and take a 3-1 series lead.

Currently the Preds are beating the Hawks 3-1 and the Sharks are up 1-0. Dan Boyle scores for the Sharks on their first shot of the game. No 51 save shut-out tonight.

Preds just seem to be too much for the Hawks. They don't have te skill but they've got the hard work and determination. Preds win 4-1 and take a 2-1 series lead.

No, seriously.

It wouldn't surprise me. Preds have given the Kings big problems, they play such a hard and heavy, suffocating game it's difficult to get anything going against them. Rinne is also tremendous obviously.

The Sharks finally show some grit and get it done in OT. They win 2-1 and tie the series 2-2.

Caps are just too much for the Habs. They hand the Habs their 6th straight playoff home loss beating them tonight 6-3 and take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

B's and Sabres tied at 2s going into OT.

The former Buffalo Sabre Miroslav Satan scores in the 2nd OT to give the Bruins a 3-2 come-from-behind win.

lead the series 3-1

the Kings have scored another PP goal, 8 so far in the series, and are up 1-0 late in the 1st.

What a game, what a comeback! Great saves by both goalies, but in the end, Satan was just too much.

Hail Satan!!

it may be the biggest surprise of the playoffs so far, besides the hawks-preds series.

like seriously, who would of thought that the Bruins are this much better than the Sabres? It kinda hurts to watch Tuuka Rask play so good for the B's, when he should be playing good for the Leafs.

no more trades between Toronto and Boston ever again.

Jesus, that was an intense period. Luongo is one sly mother fucker hiding the fact that the net was off. Friday night will be crazy awesome. I know Doughty fucked up throwing the puck up the middle to Kesler, but man oh man just imagine how good he'll be in a few years. I think that he's the next Scott Niedermayer, he's already got Olympic gold, just needs a couple cups and Norris trophies to catch up. Anyway, Vancouver held on and Demitra finally showed up.

Nucks win 6-4 and tie the series 2-2

That was just scary exciting hockey. Both teams can score in many ways, and both goalies are shaky right now. Such a fun series.

I kind of lol'd at how stoked the Canucks got to have killed off a penalty for the first time in 2 games.

It's been 10 years since Brian "Boosh" Boucher won a plyoff series, the longest in the NHL. Well, the wait is over and he does it in fine fashion as the Flyers beat the Devils 3-0 and win the series 4-1.

What an endurance test as Ottawa beats Pittsburgh in 3OT. Really excellent performance by Leclaire on some big saves right before Ottawa won it.
