It's fight week. Picks?

I'll do mine closer to Saturday, but I think Vitor wins. At least that's what I want to happen.

What!? And here I thought the next fight was Rampage and Teixera.

After looking it up, I recognize none of those names. But I do want Bisping to win. Fuck Vitor. Bisping can outbox him as long as he is smart and holds his own. The moment when Vitor's speed catches him off guard or strength makes him flinch it'll be over.

Don't forget Belfort is a black belt, and Bisping isn't. Fight goes to the ground and Vitor has the advantage.

But on the feet, well it will be an interesting matchup.

Minus that one armbar against Jones, I can't recall him going to the ground often. He chooses to stay up and box it out for some reason. And when he does Bisping is going to catch him.

Well he is known for his quick hands and knockouts, yes, but that doesn't change the fact that he is a black belt.

And it was more than just the one armbar attempt, he continuously pulled guard throughout that fight. It was actually him who pulled guard in the 4th round that led Jones to locking in the kimura lock after he advanced to a mounted crucifix.

Also, Belforts last fight at 185 was a first round submission, rear naked choke, against the much bigger Anthony Johnson.

Deleting the racism/porn and keeping the positive music discussion is such a joy, I can't tell you.

Yeah. No point even thinking of giving the guy a what, fifth? sixth? chance when he goes out of his way to post stuff like that.

Makes sense.
He'll be back again, though. Some people never learn...

Yeah, makes sense. I can agree with the guy on most political issues and his commie-bashing was heartwarming for the right-winger in me, but even that has been getting stale these last few usernames.

That should mean something when I say that.

The difference is you're not a troll, Devy, just a recurring pain in the ass. :P

Bisping-Sarafian-Rothwell-Nurmagomedov ?

Not feeling very confident.

I agree with you on Rothwell and Nurmagomedov but I gotta go with my heart and pick the Phenom. Safarian is highly touted, was suppose to win TUF: Brazil, but Dolloway is a very accomished wrestler and will look to utilize what will be, IMO, a large grappling advantage.

So my picks: Belfort, Dollaway, Rothwell, Nurmagomedov.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Nurmagomedov got another slam KO?

I think you might have your Russians mixed up, Khabilov was the one who suplexed some guy unconscious. Though admittedly I might be the one mixing things up, I'm not sure, my memory is awful.

Nurmagomedov looks pretty promising though. We'll see. And to me, Belfort and Bisping is a close fight but Belfort has devastating KO power so I would definitely not be surprised to see his hand raised in the end... But Bisping has looked solid lately, I think he'll outpoint Vitor unless he gets caught.

You're right with Khabilov. My bad. I really don't know a thing about Nurmagomedov except that he has an awesome name.

I change my pick to Tavares. After watching him beat Sammy J early last year, I got to pick him.
