Assassin's Creed

About 8 hours in and I've only done 2 kills. A friend of mine told me the game can be beat in 8 hours. Maybe if you just run through the game without enjoying anything. I'm thinking it may take me about 20-30 hours once I beat the story and try to find everything.

The Lost Vikings for my SNES as well :dio:

Assassin's Creed is an awesome game, but be careful i've heard the PS3 version has some problems.

I've heard some things too, but nothing has happened in the 8 hours I've played it. Its flawless and amazing, like my penis.

Damn. Now this I must see.

I lost interest in the game pretty quickly. It's a beautiful game, and generally a step forward in gaming, but it's boring as hell. I think I had killed two of the primary targets in the game before I got tired of the exact same fights over and over and over again.

I remember earlier i said AC was amazing. Well i take that back, it was far to easy to do, i did it in about 9 hours i think, plus the end is by far the worst ending to anything ever. I heard that they're cashing in by doing a trilolgy. Not a chance of me buying any of the other if thats true. I mean i actually couldn't believe it when the credits came up, i took it back a day and a half after i bought it and swaped it for resistance fall of man, a much much better game!

Resistance is indeed an amazing game. As for AC I dont understand how people beat it so fast. Like I said Im about 8 hours in and Ive done 2 kills out of 9. Maybe its the platform lover in me, but I find the flag searching a blast, Ive been doing that for hours (as well as the other collectiony things) its just so much fun. I guess I could see how people wouldnt like the game that much if they just played the story as fast as possible and thats it. I'm excited for a sequel to this.

Ha ha! I just found out that Cockney fuckwit Johnathan "Wossy" Ross has a cameo role in Halo3! I'm sure that means nothing to those outside the UK, however.

I have no idea who that is, but in case anyone is interested, Seth Green plays the part of Joker in Mass Effect, and Kristen Bell from Veronica Mars and Heroes plays the part of whatever her name is in Assassin's Creed.

 I believe that was me.

EDIT: I apologize, it was the Silent Man who said that. I said I want to see it.

I think the reason i did it so fast is that i found the most intresting part of the game to be the parts when your out of the animus. So i did it as quick as i could so i could find out what all that was about...I was sadly disapointed.

lol I just remember something that made me laugh loads in that game. That begger who sounds like that Michael Jackson song 'got to be starting something'. haha, 'my familys sick and dying'. I had that MJ song in my head all the way through that game coz of her!

Just take it online. Yeah single player is kinda bad, but the online play is cool. 4 player co-op.

Bah. The wireless adapter costs over £50! It's pretty tight when you consider the Wii and PS3 are wireless out of the box.

The wife bought me an XBOX 360 (Special Halo Edition) for Christmas. Of course Halo 3 was under the tree as well. So, I'm on my way to rescue Cortana. The Flood are gross but great fun to destroy. Flamethrower is awesome!! :dio:

Holy shit. I started Mass Effect the other day and it's fucking awesome...

And Oblivion is an amazing game, recommended to anyone...actually, it might be my favorite game ever. I really want to start playing it again but for now I'm addicted to Mass Effect...

Call of Duty 4. So cool. Made it to First Lieutenant in multiplayer.

What level is that? (numbre wise)

I don't know. I'm Brigadier General II now anyway. I think that's lvl39.

I play Hardcore servers mostly. I find the gigantic amount of shots you need to drop an opponent in regular mode rather tedious.

Morrowind is even better. Oblivion only beats it at graphics and combat system.

I'm not much of a RPG player because pf my incredibly short attention span when it comes to RPG's. Is Oblivion (Elder Scrolls IV) something that may finally pull me into the world of RPG's?

I picked up a promotional booklet at Gamestop the other day and I read a piece in it on Mass Effect. That game looks incredible. I'm glad to hear that you like it so much. That helps solidify my purchase of the game. I was also leaning toward picking up Gears Of War. Have you played that one yet? That looked cool.

Does anyone know anything about The Orange Box? I know it has a bunch of games in it that look damn interesting. It's on sale this week at BestBuy for $39.99. Is it worth it to pick it up while it's on sale?

I doubt it. It's incredibly long with lots of travelling, plots within plots within plots, and more side quests than you could possibly hope to solve in a single lifetime. At times the story can crawl forward at a very tepid pace. If you're looking for an action-packed game, Oblivion is not for you.

Thanks for the info. I'm definitely a person who has to be able to jump right in and get going. That's why I enjoy games like Halo because the action is there but it still has a cool story attached to it. Creating stuff and getting sucked into a world that could take literally months of my life to complete annoys the hell out of me. I mean no disrespect to those who love RPG's at all. I just find them to be be lifesuckers.

I'd recommend all of those games, except Oblivion, I'm not a fan. Morrowind is cool though. Anyway, The Orange Box is amazing, it has got Half-Life 2: Episode Two, I'm not sure if it's any fun if you haven't played the previous games. Then it has got Portal, which is one of the funniest games released in a long time, it's a puzzle game though, not a shooter. Also, you get Team Fortress 2, an awesome multiplayer game.

Mass Effect is game of the year if you ask me, it has got some issues though, like a lot of loading times and a generally slow performance. Still, if you have any interest in science-fiction, you'll most likely love it.
