It's a close one, but I think Okami will grind him out... But hopefully Lombard smashes him.

Wasn't super stoked tonight, but my friend asked me out so I went. DAMN. I did not expect that Silva fight to be so fucking vicious. That was fucking crazy intense. Struve looked like an idiot which pisses me off. I have such hope for him and then he just fucking pulls idiotic moves and I can't stand him.

Mark Hunt!!!

Looked decent. I swear Struve is a fucking idiot. He consistently fails to use his reach, instead he gets up in Hunt's face and let's Hunt tee off on him. Teeing off on him is enabled by him simply not knowing what the fuck to do with his hands while striking. He would consistently drop his hands and get punched dead in the face and then remembering he had to protect his face, he would entirely cover up his face and leave his long torso uncovered opening himself to body shots. His boxing mechanics are literally non-existent. He doesn't even torque his hips when throwing punches. Weak ass jabs when he had full mount. Struve frustrated me last night.

WANDERLEI !!!!!! Sick fight, they were trading like nobody's business. I really thought an exchange of that kind would favor Stann but Silva's chin held up.

Struve can be awful sometimes, he's got so much potential but can also put up some real stinkers. It got him a broken jaw this time, hopefully he can learn from it instead of just passively standing straight in front of a power puncher and covering up, but he's been doing that his whole career so I don't know.

So is Mark Hunt now a top 10 heavyweight?

He broke his jaw!? Damn. And yeah last night they were talking about Hunt fighting whoever wins the Dos Santos/Overeem match.

I can't get over how nasty that Silva fight was. I love how whenever Silva got dropped to a knee he dove down for the tackle in order to prevent him from going bell up and getting his face bashed in. I don't know what to make of Stann. I expected more from him, but then again that kind of fight is so hectic and up in the air that it really doesn't exhibit his potential in the slightest.

Watching either Diaz get beat up is a good thing in my book.

And I for one love GSPs style of fighting, so yes, there are reasons to be excited.

I can get behind that. I thought there might have been something here I was missing is all.

Seriously? I know GSP isn't a finisher, and he gets hate on for that, but cheering for Diaz over GSP? That's just wrong. Nick has got to be the biggest idiot in MMA. Sure his fights are exciting, but he's just so frustrating to listen to/look at. I hope, and know, GSP will smash him worse than Bendo did to Nate.

His fights are exciting and that should be enough for anyone. GSP is a likable guy and is everything a true martial artist should be but I just love watching Diaz fight.

That being said, GSP will most likely win.

Just because you are exciting doesn't mean you are good or likeable. I love Demian Maia, but he doesn't have an exciting bone in his body. Both Diazs are quite exciting, but I can't stand either of them. I know it all comes down to personal taste, but I can't help think of how stupid the Diaz brothers are everytime I hear one of them talk.

Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman confirmed today to headline UFC 162 in July.

Also, Renan Barao will be defending his interim bantamweight title against former WEC champ Eddie Wineland at UFC 161 which will be the first event in Winnepeg Manitoba Canada.

Barao currently boasts a 31 fight unbeaten streak, which is quite ridiculous.

Yeah that's sort of my point, I don't care if Diaz is good or likable. If I had to sit down with one of them and have dinner I'd go with GSP easily. But if I could watch one of them fight I'd watch Diaz and therefor I like Diaz better. Most of my friends hate Jon Jones now but I still like him, he makes exciting and interesting fights.

That's not to say I'm not a hypocrite, there are fighters I like that can be boring and some that I like mostly because they seem like nice guys. It's just in most cases I'll go with the more exciting guy.

So Weidman and Silva eh? Wish I got another chance to see Weidman against another contender, right now all I really remember about him is his fight against Munoz. Another fight would make it easier to have a grasp of what he's capable of. It's like this could be the guy that beats Silva and I know nothing about him outside of one impressive performance followed by months of him whining, ultimately landing him his title shot.

Losses by Bisping and Belcher as well as an undefeated record earned his title shot.

Overeem hurt and out of his fight with JDS. Unknown if Cigano will wait or take another fight. Hopefully vs. Mark Hunt.
