Annihilated?

We will do precisely what we do at every major tournament (that we qualify for :lame: ). Get to the quarter finals and then lose "pluckily" on penalties, like 11 Tim Henmans of the football world.

Annihilated? You guys have been surpringly solid during the qualifiers and last night proved just that. Way more consistent thatn before, and I think you'll do good. Capello is a very good coach

Eh, you guys are probably right. Let me be pessimistic, though; half the squad'll probably get sent off for diving next game or something.

After watching hockey for a year or so, I've got to admit that football-players fall over rather ligthly, but the Englishmen are far from the worst.

Am I worrying too much that the midfielders scored most of the goals? Needs a bit of tweaking, that.

Hey, you're describing Spain (except last Eurocup)

Both of them are goalscorers if you take a look at their respective teams as well. And, thought they play on two of the teams I hate the most, they are probably two of the best midfielders in the world right now. Both almost natural goalscorers and excellent playmakers. Don't know what Heskey is doing on the national team still, outdated he is. Rooney is the only world class striker they have and he's in dire need of a similar companion. Maybe Theo Walcott in a few years if he can develop a bit more.

Sweden will probably make the playoff, as Denmark will probably let their Nordic pals through, and the other match is an easy one. Portugal has to win the next two matches and Sweden has to tie or lose at least one for us to make the play-offs.

Portugal has been complete shit this qualification and i only hope the players (from clubs like Real Madrid, Man United, Inter Milan and Chelsea) understand just how incredibly embarassing it is, especially Ronaldo who's an arrogant piece of shit, the coach is fired and doesn't get any job outside of fucking Saudi Arabia for the rest of his career and that the federation heads are all replaced, though i'll bet anything that they'll still be around for a few more years, those fucking bloodsuckers.

Portugal was like that for the last few years - we didn't have a decent striker so Figo, Rui Costa, Maniche, Deco and Ronaldo (when he played as a winger, which by the way is where he is at his best) scored most of the goals, because they had instinct and the habit of charging into the box in shooting position quite often.

in fact i think it's when Portugal started playing for the striker (either useless Hugo Almeida or Ronaldo out of his position) that our problems started.

i'd say that player-by-player England has an incredible squad, and that so far Capello seems to have succeeding in making a team out of them. i think England has everything to make it at least to the semi-finals in 2010, along with Brazil, Spain and Germany.

The Germans are fucking machines... Player by player not nearly as good as England, Spain or Brazil, but their teamwork is incredible and they play very well together. I'm a little uncertain when it comes to Brazil. They're not as dominant as before, but I have not been following them during the qualifiers. Italy is looking strong as well. The cunts.

Eh? If Sweden wins against Denmark, Denmark will most likely end up on second place, meaning that they will not be directly qualified. I can't really see why Denmark would ever "let their Nordic pals through". If you were Italian I could perhaps have understood the remark...

Holland is also qualified, and have been playing pretty damn well.

hm, i thought denmark were clear at this point, sorry for the misunderstanding. if so we still have a chance, although it is completely undesereved.

in 2000/2004, most players were in the portuguese league or (in 2000) smaller foreign clubs, like Standard Liege, Oviedo, Napoli and Monaco, now they're all in man united and the like and they think they're the shit, when they're just shit. then Ronaldo thinks he's Figo and everyone else thinks they're Ronaldo, which is fucking ridiculous.
Carlos 'i won two youth world cups with fucking Figo and Rui Costa in my team' Queiros is another asshole.

they can go and fuck themselves as far as i'm concerned.

So did Turkey. Reach semi finals in the Euro Cup but fail to qualify for the WC. Heads should roll.

Some beautiful goals scored. Great performance once we'd gotten over being 1 down, too.

I thought ManU would suck this year. They are proving me wrong.

Nope. In fact I'd be a very happy man if your team didn't slack off and annihilate Besiktas.

Besiktas seem to love getting hammered, a few years ago it was Liverpool and before that it was Barcelona.

8-0 yeah. Man did I enjoy that game. It is the record for the champions league.
