That was the Boxing Insider forum. It wasn't that someone posted a virus, it was embedded in the advertising bullshit on the site. But yeah, same posters, different forum.

I forgot to say, so glad that Mir was beaten. The guy just needs to retire. He has not been the same fighter since his accident, and I imagine that injury still has to plague him a bit to this day. The guy just fades in all of his fights, especially if he gets beat on. He just turns off.

He's a great commentator for the WEC, and I think they should really consider bringing him on board for the UFC. He's a perfect analyst.

UFC 100 was absolutely awesome I think we can all agree. I said I thought Bisping would win, but really I've always thought he would be beaten-that knockout was hardcore, it made me feel sick to see Bisping destroyed like that. The GSP match was sick and Brock Lesnar is genuinely improving, plus I like the theatrics he brings to the sport.

That knockout alone was worth the price of the PPV. All hail Hendo!

I'm not a big GSP fan, but you can't help but be astounded by the guy. He absolutely dominated each and every round, the last two with a groin pull! Amazing.

I didn't get as miffed by the post-fight Lesnar circus as most people apparently did. I thought some of it was kind of funny actually. Sure, it was classless, but entertainment often is. Oh, and that was a supreme bludgeoning he laid on Mir. I agree with Evil Dead, I like Mir's commentary on WEC, so hopefully he sticks with that.

Fitch looked good as well, and Belcher got robbed in my opinion.

One other thing, I think its bullshit that they didn't show any of the undercard fights. If nothing else, show them afterwards, instead of just re-airing the main card fights like they did. I know you can watch them on UFC.com, but that's crap that they don't show them on TV considering how much the PPV costs.

I knew Brock would humble that trash-talking drunk. You can say what you will about pro-wrestling, but even when he was doing fake fights he was a nasty dude, especially when he had legit backstage heat with someone. He broke Bob Holly's neck on live television just to prove a point. He's the real deal, and he's going to be on top for a while I think. I feel he's just the thing MMA needs to go mainstream, a true PRO WRESTLING style heel to draw in cheap heat. What Lesnar did was classic WWE. No matter what you thought of the guy before, you have an opinion of him now, love him or hate him. He's just what the sport needs in a sea of faceless fighters in Tapout gear.

I do feel the outrage over his poor Sportsmanship is very funny. I also find the outrage over his WWE'ing up of the UFC great, as anyone who watches both organizations like me knows Dana White has taken quite a few pages out of Vince McMahon's playbook. Hell the UFC's entire production style is straight out of the WWE.

As a long time MMA fan, I must disagree completely. While Lesnar is a great mainstream draw, and has and will no doubt continue to draw new people to the sport... His antics were a joke.

While it may have been entertaining to some and a draw for some fans, this sport is still struggling to be recognized by the mainstream. It's fairly often I hear from anyone who has an opinion about MMA that it's nothing more than " human cock fighting ", and antics like Lesnar's don't help that.

Lesnar received a big talk from White after his antics in the ring, which is why he did such a quick 180. I think as time goes on, he'll even out, and become more respectable as a fighter. I see Lesnar as a work in progress, and he's only going to improve. As a fighter, and as a representative of the sport.

I don't mind some antics and personality, but he went way over the top. Making fun of Mir while he was being attended to by the doctors was a disgrace.

So, who's next for Lesnar?
Fedor?
Carwin?
Velasquez?

I'd like to see the winner of the rumored Carwin/Valasquez fight maybe get a crack at the title. Although if Cain wins that, I think I want him to have one more fight after Carwin.

I'd like to see Carwin or Fedor vs. Lesnar.
Carwin is a monster and Fedor has a way of finding ways to win.
Fedor is like a machine.

At least Carwin is a big guy like Lesnar, and he can obviously throw a punch. That would be a good fight.

And to get Fedor into the UFC would be great, I hope it happens. Can't say you're the best when you don't fight the best, consistently.

It's already been confirmed by Dana White that the Carwin/Velazquez fight is a number one contender bout. White also says that he's going to try his hardest to get Fedor in for a Fedor/Lesnar fight. I'll believe that when I see it though, as Dana White wants a long term contract, and Fedor's group will only sign short-term deals.

As for Frank Mir, I feel he deserved everything Lesnar gave him, and more. Remember, Lesnar showed Captain America the utmost respect, as Randy didn't run his mouth like a schoolyard bully. Mir pushed Brock's buttons, and kept harping on his WWE career, completely losing sight of the fact that Brock was a Collegiate Wrestling Champion. The whole skit he did on the Spike preview show with him punching out a fat guy and saying "This ain't fake fighting Brock" was just as classless and disrespectful as anything Brock did after he pummeled him into oblivion.

That's the only thing that he did that was out of line. That was extremely disrespectful and uncalled for. It's not like Mir really talked shit before the fight; he did what any fighter does.

Him flipping the crowd off and whatnot—who fucking cares? It's not like it's never been done. Nick and Nate Diaz have flipped off more people inside the octagon than probably everyone else combined. Joe Rogan says "balls" instead of "groin." Dana White, the fucking President of the UFC, has one of the worst mouths in the sport. So what Lesnar said wasn't an issue at all. It was normal after-fight nonsense. Happens all the time.

But disrespecting a beaten fighter, however, is childish.

Believe it or not I want to see him go up against Bobby Lashley not just because they are both former pro wrestlers but both are big and strong it would be the battle of who is the stronger badass.

I would also like to see him go up against Fedor that would be a badass fight itself.

I just don't see Fedor in the UFC. He's got a great working relationship with Affliction, and as far as I know, wherever Fedor goes, M-1 Global goes ( His manager's company. ) and the UFC does not do partnership deals with anyone.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2009/7/14/94 ... with-fedor

Explains it a bit better.

I mean, anything can happen, but I just don't see it.

I really hope Carwin overcomes Valasquez and is able to move his way up to the title shot. I really don't think Cain would have anything to offer Lesnar, even if he is victorious.

Also, what Lesnar did does not happen all the time.

Mir talked a lot of trash, true, but my take on that is he was trying to get under Lesnar's skin and make him so enraged that he would just go into the octagon with a clouded mind, thereby making another mistake and opening himself up for another sub.
Let's face it: Mir is a pretty likable guy, cocky, yes, but still likable, and a good fighter. He is one of the best when it comes to the ground. I was actually hoping he'd make a comeback.
He was just having a bit of pre-fight fun with Lesnar. I didn't get the impression from the pre-fight special that Mir was being mean-spirited, just poking the beast a little.
Lesnar just comes across as a big dumb bully without any class.
He is a world class wrestler, I'll give him that, but you get a guy as big and strong as Lesnar that has actuall MMA skills, Lesnar will get his ass handed to him.

As for White's bringing Lesnar on board, hell, why stop there? Bring on Sapp, another one dimensional monster whose main thing going is incredible size and strength.
I don't know about anybody else here, but I don't watch MMA merely to watch some giant smother an opponent and proceed to hammer punch him into a TKO.

Never seen Lashley fight, but Carwin would give Lesnar a good fight, I think.
