what do you work as? kindergarden teacher?

i taught Grade 1 english before, for 4 months. one hell of a job.

Oh, God, no. I don't enjoy children. I work tech crew for the county, and I was working at a theatre that was hosting a Mongolian Children's Festival that day. Mostly my job involves hooking wires up to stuff, manhandling heavy speakers, and sitting and being bored for long stretches of time.

So they were Mongolians?

Yep. Though really it was just a talent show for their kids. Not a whole lot really Mongolian going on, except for this kid playing a horse's head fiddle, which was cool.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Zad. Is there some slang of which I'm unaware?

The only meaning I attach to the word "Mongoloid" is someone who has Oriental features. So if it's slag for someone with Down's syndrome, this is the first I've heard of it.

I think that's the first time anyone's accused me of being innocent since junior high. And you leave my scanner alone. It's old and slow.

There's really no pleasing you, is there?

And I suppose I'll wait a bit longer, then!

I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.
