probably gonna stop reading this. he spends too long making his points, the points he makes aren't really new, and he doesn't give much interesting evidence to support them.

Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra.

Big, long and epic tale of criminal elements in India. Highly recommended.

Had to start up The Hobbit again because we had to read A Streetcar Named Desire for class. Awesome play.

It's a good read, but it's something that you have to stick with. I left it a week, and couldn't get back into it at all. Recommended, as I said.

George RR Martin - Dreamsongs

It took me a while to get into his non-epic fantasy stuff, but now I love it. Even his SF is great!

Those collections are completely awesome- they have some of the greatest short stories I've ever read. Check out in particular A Song For Lya, Sandkings, The Way of Cross and Dragon, Nightflyers, and the Tuf Voyaging stories- and the Hedge Knight if you haven't read it yey.

A Song For Lya is one of the best short stories I've ever read. I found myself thinking on it long afterwards. The Hedge Knight rocks as well. Cant wait for the next big one...

Just finished The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, in about three days of sporadic reading. Ridiculously good book.

along with Pillars of the Earth and A Song of Ice and Fire, that's probably the most popular book in the forum, and with good reason.

still haven't got round to reading Pillars, though
