He is a pompous jerk that speaks Italian. Plus he plays for the Lakers. It's quite obvious I hate the guy, I'm just surprised people are so willing to personally defend him. I thought everyone agreed he's an extraordinary player, but totally unlikeable. I'd rather root for Dwayne Wade or Shaq or the Pistons as a whole.

I hate him too. I used to like him though. I'm a huge Shaq fan, always have been, so for Kobe's first couple years I really liked him. Then when he started costing the Lakers games by throwing up ridiculous shots so he could make 1 out of 5 and get on ESPN i started to get ticked off. After the way the whole Shaq thing was handled I really can't stand him.

Kobe makes those shots now.

What are you, a Lakers fan? Everyone knows Kobe is the best, but that doesn't mean anyone has to like him.

The Lakers are in great position with Kobe right now...if they just want to be an average team with a great player. They aren't going to be able to win championships with the team they have right now. If Kobe doesn't change then I doubt he will ever win a championship again. Michael Jordan scored a lot and made everybody else around him better. Kobe just scores a lot. Lebron James is the superior team basketball player. And if you care about winning that's all that really matters.

That is probablly true, but who (besides Odom) has enough talent to take the Lakers to the next level?

I don't agree. In the All Star Game he shot the ball every single time he had it in his hands, wtf was that ? He should be better than that. I think Kobe's a much better player than him overall. Both on offense and defense.

I think Boris Diaw is the future of the NBA

right now, my fav' player is still Manu Ginobli but I think Alan Iverson is the best player in the NBA (Steve Nash is pretty close)

Are you from Southern California? Omaha is a good distance from LA.

Yeah, Nash is one of my favourites too. Now that's a teamplayer, he can make the worst team in the NBA reach the playoffs imo. Diaw is a real troll and a pretty good one at that. Phoenix is just too good, if Stoudamire gets well until playoffs they'll certainly win it.

I don't think so

SA Spurs will win this season too

and with Ginobili, Parker, Duncan & Robert "Big Shot" Horry, no one can challenge them in the play-offs or finals 8)

Dude it was the All Star Game. I'm talking real games. Lebron has a better shooting percentage, more assists, more rebounds...

Yeah the Suns are awesome. Nash is so much fun to watch. I love the way he knows where everybody is on the court.

Heh heh, no. When I was younger I watched the Hornets 24/7, then Glen Rice left, and I believe he went straight to the Lakers. I eventually switched teams, but the main reason I switched was b/c the Charlotte Hornets became the New Orleans Hornets. Glen Rice just kind of sealed the Lakers as "My Team."

Mugsy Bouges was who brought me to the Hornets. I was a very short child.
:(
