I have seen the Matrix, read Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, Catch 22, and will soon start George Orwell's 18-whatever it is... muahahaha!!! (by the way, I bet they don't tell you to read these books in american high school, do they?)

Actually, we read Animal Farm in 7th grade, and I read all the other crap on my own.

yeah, not all of 'em, but a helluva lot of 'em..

Frigid, the whole country does not think that america is the end-all be-all of excellence on the planet.

Although i have gotten into heated arguments with my teachers about how they ignore the anti- capitalism elements. For the most part my teachers illuminate both sides rather fairly.

I know there are many intelligent americans. But still, the fact that the government is run an illiterate moron (bush), an evil robber baron (Cheney) and a fundamentalist wacko (Rumsfeld) is kinda.... scary....

Yes, we DO have capitalism in switzerland, but not as intense or as big as in the states. We have very few hungry people, although many are below the poverty line. No homeless people. And Switzerland is one of the few countries where democracy works really well.

Well, considering I've been to cities with more than twice the population of Switzerland it shouldn't be that hard.

yeah, but CH is really small... and has a LOT of mountains....
