Guys, I could care less about politics and hate discussing it because I don't know shit about it, at least not enough to discuss it in an intelligent manner. Regardless, I did spend many years in the UK and I have enough knowledge to base my opinion that the United States is simply a better place to live.

I'm not arguing politics, but I do know enough to know that even though our political system is fucked up, it's far better than the UKs.

from what i see on tv i would rather live in my country than in USA 8) i think our social wellfare is better, cuz nobody has to work more than 7,5 hours a day 5 days a week to stay alive*, that and our hospitals are free and we got less ppl shooting each other ( 2-5 ppl a year perhaps, it's quite rare), and less poor ppl compared to the population.

i think UK have a cooler way of handling religion, though, and we're not all that good at integrating immigrants/refugees



*In fact you could work 4 hours a day and still have apartmant and have lot's of fun, if that's what you want. And i'm very lazy 8) .. that's why i'm going to be a teacher anyways

I'd totally pick any Scandinavian country over USA any day. To live, or immigrate, in the back of a truck with 50 Pakistani people. Maybe I will do that, haha. And I think Spain would rule too, nothing bad ever happens in Spain, all those hot chicks. Awesome.

Reasons UK > US :

1. Free healthcare.
2. The closest thing we have to an American South is Cornwall.
3. No guns.
4. We don't consider selling drugs a worse crime than rape.
5. Real national pride, that comes without any cliches or nationalism.
6. Better sense of humour.
7. Culture.
8. Better standard of living.

I've been told about this from friends and I can't believe what I'm reading. Ken, you're entitled to your opinions but as you work for metalreviews your opinions are also representative of the site. As you have just tarred an entire nation with one brush you have successfully managed to piss off a fair number of English people. I have my own opinions about other countries but as I work for this site would think that expressing them in balance and moderation would be a given. Ignorant foreigner is a rather extreme turn of phrase bordering on racist and I can only urge you to show a bit more decorum.

I'm not angry so much at what Ken said, just simply the fact that he is someone in authority and should be a little more responsible when making comments like that. To casual readers of the site you could be just some random guy spouting off (no offense )but most people who visit here know Ken works for the site.

Nah, I prefer to make my opinions on the matter public, especially as some readers I know brought it to my attention. Everything's fine in metal land, aside from the bee in my bonnet about this. I don't know what the rest of the guys think about this.
