Ah Marmite; the knockoff of Vegemite. Vegemite, or axle grease, is a unique Australian phenomenon made from the leftover yeast shit used in brewing beer. Aussies like it in the same way that Scots like haggis. The trick is to spread it very very thin on bread or toast. It's a bit of a national past time watching Americans smear a big thick chunk on bread then take a bite. You can almost hear their heart stop.
