I think it's more telling that he sounds like a frat boy when his speech writers aren't around to put words in his mouth. At this sort of a function, I'd be very careful not only of what I said, but of how I said it. This indicates a lack of even a basic grasp of diplomacy.

This government is really starting to scare me. The latest anti-flag-burning amendment only failed by one vote. The very nanosecond they pass one, I'm moving to Canada.

yeah, but a little effort to prevent mass genocide in the future could be appreciated.

When has that ever happened in the history of this wretched race called humanity? We are just evolved animals, and animals kill each other all the time, everyday. Our opposable thumbs and "advanced intellects" doesn't change the fact that we are animals, and act as such every chance we get.

don't take this the wrong way, but i really pity you if this is your way on mankind. I don't judge our whole race on what indeed many are doing at this moment. However, i'm sure there are enough people who are good persons. Your criticism on your fellow man is to say the least, very stupid.

I think that because humans have a concept of morality we should behave better than animals.
I also think that everything should be run by women.

no but seriously, it's men who start all the wars! Women would be too busy worrying about their makeup and their hair to start wars...

Come on, this is a lesson we learn in kindergarten. At fancy events, we're on our best behavior. In the diplomatic arena, this is an art, and the fact that Bush doesn't even bother to try and play along says something, not only about him, but about America as well. It's just...social rules. You wouldn't say "shit" at your grandmother's funeral, would you?

If all goes well, I'll be moving to Finland in a couple years anyway.

Bush just acts really stupid so that the common person can relate to him. He probably wanted that to be overheard.

America as a whole values the "common man." That's why he speaks with that ridiculous affected Texas accent, despite being from Conneticut. We eschew anything that looks like "elitism," but in recent years, this has meant embracing mindless Christianity and Blue Collar TV. I weep for my native land.

and when you think of what it actually all stands for, the constitution, the pride... america was way better (for whites, at any rate) after the revolt...

"born again"?

Nope, the kind that thinks Creationism should be taught in science class, teaching teenagers about condoms will lead to premarital sex, and Bush was put in place by the new version of the divine right of kings.
