A stupid statement, with no basis in fact I might add. Been listening to a little too much Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, have we?

Oh, and your buddies in the religious right would not appreciate you using the Lord's name in vain.

Voting is not going to make a difference anyways. Well, the chance to make a difference is as big as winning the lotery's jackpot 3 times in a row.

I voted mainly Libretarian, with a few Democrat and I did vote Kinky Freidman for Governor. Although it was on a voting machine, so who knows if my vote was even counted. Locally, it was a wash, as most of the Republican Incumbents ran uncontested, but that's the norm for the very place that spawned Dubya himself.

Dems dominated the House. One seat left to be called for Senate. It will decide who rules it. Virginia: 99% of the votes called, and Dems have around an 8000 vote lead. They're not calling it yet, but it looks like the Dems are going to win both legislatures.

That would be awesome!

Yeah, it's definitely going to happen. Recount or not, 8000 votes is too wide a margin to be overturned.

People can only take so many half-truths and croney bullshit before they give the other party a chance. Case in point right here. The Repubs who lost can thank Dubya. Then again, it's partly their own fault. You stand next to shit too long, you're gonna end up smelling like shit.

If you truly love any form of rock music, be it punk, garage rock-revival, or goregrind, you would have voted democrat.

It wasn't really a political party, but conservatism. Tipper Gore was married to Al Gore, a democrat, but there were republicans on that godforsaken PMRC committee as well. Democrats as a whole are more liberal, so if they support abortion, I have no clue why they would have a problem with a few "fucks" and "shits" on a CD.

but the republican party in all these years (6?) of government never did much to annoy metal fans (i think).

i'm not saying they're my choice, because they're not (not that it matters since i'm not voting), but music in this case doesn't seem like a reason to vote for or against a certain party.

I don't know if you all really follow American politics or just what BS you all see in Europe but this happens almost every 2nd term the House and Senate will switch to the other party. It happenend with Clinton in his 2nd term just exactly like this, and if you go back through the 20th century you will see it happening often as a gut reaction to whoever is in office. Not shocking at all.

Yes, but they also promote more freedom. They aren't the bible thumpers, the ultra religious fundamental christians who vote on issues that trouble their scripture laden minds. And ayone who has not been in utero for the past few decades knows that metal isn't down with christianity. In any case, I was bieng sarcastic. I apologize for not using any smilies whatsoever.
