I don't think Saddam was an idiot, he even did a lot of positive things for Iraq with their oil money before he started the war with Iran. It just kind of went very far downhill from there...

Leee's right. A secular dictator like Saddam would do far more good for the place than a religious extremist government...

A benevolent dictatorship would be nice. But they have a reoccuring tendancy to turn out evil and fuck shit up. I am for the death penalty, he is a horrible man and is a symbol of horrible evil. It's a shame a man like him can only die once.

I have to admit that Saddam did a lot of things to bring Iraq up. No doubt bout that. But he did a lot of mean things as well. The genocide against the small sect of Muslims is very unjustifiable. They sre after all, Muslims too. I'm not saying he should spare the Muslims and screw the Jews.

He deserves to die, that's for sure. It's just a matter of HOW. Hanging is too simple. Physical mutilation without anaesthetics. That's my vote.

It's complete and utter chaos over there. The extremists are gaining power due to the other lot getting removed.
