That is a really great book, if you like beatniks and lots of descriptions of people being stoned.

hey Dead Machine, that book looks pretty cool. what's it about?

right now i'm not reading anything. i don't feel like spending more or visiting the library (it's like... 5 tube stations away... too far), and the only other books i can get for free are at my aunt's house. sidney sheldon and stuff like that..

although after this thread i have a big list for next summer :)

It's about a model who gets shot in the jaw, which leaves her without it. She meets up with a guy-turned-mostly-girl named Brandy and a dude named Seth, and they go cross-country pretending to want to buy people's houses, then going inside and stealing all their prescription drugs.

Try it out. Palahniuk is pretty good at what he does.
