Age of Empires 3: k3wl, but also a bit meh in the long run... had a match against my sister the other day that lasted almost 3 hours, it was fucking awsome and downright funny just to send hordes of horsemen into her fortress. She kept killing 50 of my topnotch horsemen in less than 30 sec and I kept reproducing 50 horsemen in less than 30 sec's - i had built 12 stables just outside her fortress, which took up about 25% of the intire map, though my took up about like 50 % and my walls stretch accross the intire map.

You don't like Metroid :(?

I'm playing through the Prime Trilogy just now, presently on Meta Ridley in the first game.

Metroid Prime is one of my favourite games, the second one is great too, but not like the first one. I need to replay them on hard some day. Unfortunately I haven't played the third one yet, but I hear it's great.

Metroid Prime 3 is awesome (better than the second one), but, to be fair, not as good as the original, which is one of my top five video games. What a beautiful, beautiful game.

I prefer the second one to the first, although only slightly. I was kinda disappointed that the third game went down the old style power up system for the beams and such instead of letting you switch between weapons, but it's a minor flaw. The music from the third game is absolutely stunning though.

I'm now playing both Earthbound and Chrono Trigger.

Earthbound is such a funny game. One of the towns in the game had been invaded by zombies and they were slowly taking over. They took control of the local newspaper and renamed it "The Zombie Herald". The headline read "Destroy All Humans". Hah, and whenever you'd do something that affected the zombies they'd thrash you in their newspaper.

Started playing Rome: Total War again. My Seleucids are currently in control of the lower right quarter of the map, and retaking Greece from the Romans as we speak.

Don't have the expansion yet, but I loved the original. A vastly underrated game.

Dawn of War II will continue in its scope, by the way. Small, tactical battles.

I always buy a new game at the end of a school semester, so today I sold my old copy of Gran Turismo 3 and bought Gran Turismo 4. Wow. I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised. I didn't think GT4 would be much of an improvement over 3 (I wasn't even sure it'd be as good), but it is. The gameplay, graphics, tracks, license tests. Everything is much better in GT4 except may be the soundtrack (although it does have the classic Judas Priest song Free Wheel Burning :dio: ).

rented a copy of Call of Duty 4 to see if it is my disc or my 360 that is not working. I emailed Micro$oft about my problem, and all they could say was: "We have never heard of this problem in the past. Please call our 1-800 number so we may investigate some more."

Oh and Seinfeld, wait until you play Gran Turismo 5.

Yes you can. The PS3 is region-free.

Thanks dude, yeah I found out about that and I ordered the premium edition of Soul Calibur 4 from the US, can't fucking wait.

Why didn't you just try to run another 360 game? If your other 360 games work fine, then it's probably just the disk. I've rented defective games before, and usually they're defective because one of the previous renters mishandled them. Video stores usually aren't as strict about the way their items are maintained as they probably should be.

If I buy a PS3 (which I actually may when the price goes down, seeing as to how it seems to finally be taking off), I will definitely play it.

I did try another game, and it worked. What I meant about renting another copy of CoD4 to see if it works, I will switch discs.

Just finished Chrono Trigger. It didn't have as good of a story as I had hoped, the battle system felt half-finished, and the interface was only decent.

I still loved the game, it was an unusual experience, which basically is enough for me to love a game. It had the perfect soundtrack, wonderful art direction, and great characters. Oh, and a lot of minor details that, in the end, made the game so much better.

Now moving onto Terranigma, which so far looks like it'll beat FFVI and Earthbound.

I wish I had a controller pad, playing these classic SNES games with a keyboard is fucked, and it's killing my wrists.

Yeah but here it's gay cause we don't have our own PS3 store, so we have to create accounts on different countries. I had to create a US account cause it was the only one which found my credit card valid. So if I order the game from the US, the downloads from the store will be compatible.

Bouht my brother 2 X-Box games for his birthday, they are...

Hitman Blood Money and,
Commandos Strike Force

He's a WW2 nut, so the Commandos game was not surprising. But the Hitman was. He tells me that he also has Contracts, which is good for me. Because getting him birthday and christmas presents just got easier. Isn't there a new Hitman game coming out?

Bought myself Civ IV + all expansions yesterday. Started one game, lost after half an hour when Atilla the Hun's Horde decided to appear about 1000 years before their historic date and wiped me out. Fun...

Fingon, if you've played Rome: Total War or Medieval II, don't buy Medieval. Just such a huge let-down coming from the later installments.
