lol, i'm Portuguese and i don't think Portugal could ever defeat Spain. we survived against Brazil but they weren't exactly putting pedal to the metal.

Have a little faith in Ronaldo!

Well, we're better team than Portugal, if we play as we know. And I have faith in the best midfield of all the championship. Iniesta Xavi, Cesc, Busquets and Xabi Alonso. I think only a monster team as Brazil or Argentina can stop us.

This is going to an Argentina-Brazil final. And I think Father Maradona and his Son Messi will win the championship.

I'd give German perseverance a chance of playing the final as well.

Awesome that Chile got through. I'm still not impressed with what Spain has achieved this tournament, so Portugal does definitely have a chance. To all of the guys putting the EC before the WC, eh, don't think so. The other continents have CLEARLY evolved. Take Italy for example, clear favourites, but remember that their squad who are practically the same that won it all four years ago, are much older, and doesn't have a lot of young talent along. Japan is playing fucking great football, so is Mexico and Chile, USA are stronger than everyone thought as well. The african teams have disappointed a bit, Cameroon the most. I like Ghana though.

When I saw Cameroon against Denmark they had some moments of absolutely beautiful football... too bad they couldn't keep it up for longer.

the Ivory Coast might well be the strongest african team in the tournament (Keita, the Touré brothers and of course Drogba), but sadly they got stuck in a group with Portugal and Brazil.

about Portugal: we have clearly improved since qualification, but we still lack firepower in attack and we keep misusing our midfield - Meireles, Tiago, Simão and Pedro Mendes, as well as Danny and Ronaldo the good forwards, are all very good shooters and like charging into the box to deliver the killing strike, but we only really used this approach vs North Korea.

It sucks that South-Korea got knocked out. Love them. USA look stunned by Ghana who have been great so far.
