It seems to be a post out of the blue, so I don't see how any such parallel is to be drawn.
I was actually addressing kathaarian about it, so why you (yet again) felt the need to point your finger at the US is... wait, never mind; I know why you felt the need. You're a hack.

So answer me this: why do you always and I mean always neglect to mention Europe's charming track record involving not only bloodshed, but imperialism and colonialism whenever you bad mouth the US?
You're aware of your own continents checkered history, are you? Could have fooled me.

Of course I'm aware of it. But it's not going on anymore, unlike the US... Not to mention that I'm not sure if it's a coherent contrast between a single country and a collection of ever changing nations, states, empires, and so forth.
