as much as i wanted Germany to win, Spain deserved it. they are the best team in the world and showed it tonight.

by not pressing aggressively Germany just let Spain play their game, plus Spain, because they attack more slowly, weaving up the pitch, are hard to catch with their pants down, blocking most counter-attack opportunities for Germany. also it was weird to see the short Spanish team winning most of the high balls, considering the size and strength of most German players.

Pedro played a good match but was too cheeky twice. he will grow to become a great player, though.

Spain played well today, but generally they've sucked in the world cup; they're undeserving of a final match. I hope the Netherlands fuck their shit up.

I agree, they havent played their best (their best is better than everyone else's best), but if they can still win games by not playing their best, then they truly are the best team in the world.

Holland will be a worthy adversary. Spain will likely do like they have done all tournament long, respect their opponet, and then patiently dominate them until a goal is scored and the match ends with masses of Spaniards singing "Que Viva Espana" by Manolo Escobar.

I agree that Spain were the better team and deserved to win. But, it was sad being the only person in my office supporting Germany while the rest supported Spain. Anyway, Holland, another team that I like is in the finals, so I will be rooting for them. Besides, God Dethroned and Sinister hail from Holland, so Holland FTW.

They were the team I chose to root for other than US at the beginning of the tournament (since the US were probably gonna lose), and I'm glad I picked 'em now. Great match against Germany, thoroughly dominated them...Germany really only had one or two quality shots on goal the whole time. Spain are really fun to watch, and Puyol "looks like a bassist in an 80's metal band", as an ESPN announcer observed.

I honestly never thought España could reach the finals, i was rooting for them since the beginning but i really thought they were going to lose to Germany, now my heart is divided, La Furia showed us today what they are capable of by owning the strongest team of the world cup (IMO), but i also think Holland deserves to win too, i so wanted to see them own Germany in the finals, one thing is for sure though this world cup we'll get a new champion.

That is pretty nifty. Makes you wonder if the world really will end in 2012. If it does, Spain will be World Champions in perpetuity!!

What's the actual date the world will end? Because, if late July or later than that, Spain possibly won't be perpetual European champion. Small consolation.

1.) Every player on that team could kick your ass, and
2.) Have you seen the dudes on the team with beards and long hair, or shaved heads?? All pretty common place amongst the "tough" crowd.

But honestly, going by the way they look is quite juvenile.
