I love Spain, and not just because I stand to make money if they win. That said, I like the Netherlands as well, so this is a kick ass final for me. Ticataca woot!

i don't want Spain to win (i'm portuguese, and if they win we'll never hear the end of it), but god damn they have an impressive team, and a style of football that is damn near impossible to counteract. name one match that Spain played and didn't deserve to win.

Spain is awesome, agreed. How astonishing to log in to facebook and in the newsfeed finding a certain Swiss poster here going on about how "Germany created so many chances but Spain got a fluke goal"... Spain kicked Germany's arse all the way from Africa back to Europe, and would have done by a bigger margin were Pedro not an idiot.

God knows what humiliation had occured if Spain met England...

When did that happen? More like the opposite... Spain's entire team gathered around the German area passing it to eachother.

Certainly Spain didn't create that many chances, but then Germany didn't either. The reason Spain didn't create chances was because Germany had so many men behind the ball. The reason Germany didn't get many chances was because Spain totally outplayed them and didn't let them have a touch.

The way Spain keeps possession is a thing of beauty. When they are on form (as some people on the Guardian podcast were saying), it is like when Keanu Reeves realises he is The One at the end of the first matrix film.... Agent Smith/Germany is just futilely throwing punches and Spain is like "yeah whatever, try and win possession- oh you can't LOL".

I live in American, but I am Spanish. And how were YOU taunted? Are you German, Portuguese, Dutch, Paraguayan, etc?

I fucking hate that Spain got through... Germans played shitty, but at least they can play sparkling offensive football. The way Spain and Holland have played this WC, the final is gonna suck. But I definitely want Holland to win this.

True. Robben's reputation of glass cannon was greatly helped by his injury right before the WC. When he hits the ground, everyone assumes something is up. Anyway, Spain is obviously worse, and I think that's the reason for why I can't for the life of me like them. We'll see.

If there's gonna be some entertaining offensive football in the final I think it will be Holland that comes out of their shell. Spain have been very defensive all tournament, and I doubt that'll change when you have the like of Robben and Sneijder out to tear your defense apart. However, if Holland goes up by one, I think Spain will kick things up a notch. I hope that one team sets out to kill though, cause this has the potential to be a very boring final, the way both teams have played all tournament.

I think i've seen a different WC... Spain has offensive football against ALL components in this WC.
Portugal was more offensive or deffensive that Spain? Paraguay? Germany? Spain has the ball all the time, and played like Barça does... offensively, but with a strange lack of goal.
