I watched The Prestige last night. A great film. Unfortunately, I caught one of the twists early with my keen eyesight! =( Of course, in the theater I wouldn't have been sure, but on DVD I was able to pause it and hit slo-mo. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. Haha.

Damn good flick, though.

Liked it too.

I'm watching it right now :D

The Prestige is so good, I saw it in theatres.

Hugh Jackman with Christian Bale, you can't go wrong.

I think he means anal-retentive...

I finished the movie, I don't get why Christian Bale was happy sounding at the end (didn't his brother just die?)

I know what he meant; I just don't get how it applies.

Yeah that was another bad movie. I was entertained for the most part, but in the end it was a crap film. Cage needs to just not... act anymore.

It was teh LAWL

The Prestige was indeed very good, but I don't get how you (Ken) could have figured out the twists early in the movie...there weren't really any clues, aside from the two personality thing.

I saw the first 2/3rds of The Science Of Sleep, but then I fell asleep. :[

Not 'cuz it was a bad movie, but because I had a long day yesterday and couldn't keep my eyes open for the life of me, as much as I wanted to. I'm gonna try to watch it again, 'cuz I really liked what they did with what I saw.

Yet again, I don't think my parents liked it. My dad called it the "emo metrosexual movie". Obviously, indie movies are not really their thing.

Ohh OK, that also explains why he knew about Tesla too. I liked it overall, Christopher Nolan is basically awesome.

Just saw Babel. Very Very good, going on to incredible. A somewhat slow start, but it eventually picked up and showed some great scenes and told some very important and deep stories. Great message and well... god damn that was a good movie. I'm hoping for it to win for best film in the Oscars today.

Spoiler ahead, don't read if you have not seen it yet:
It would have been even better with sad endings actually. Then it would have been magnificent.

I noticed who Fallon was early on. It didn't give away a whole lot, but part of the mystery was gone.

Someone should probably edit the subject of this thread to mention possible spoilers.

I just watched Saw III with some friends.

I can handle gore, I'm good with it. I don't cringe.
but I'm not sleeping tonight.
I'm afraid of the dark, and things in pig masks that jump out and capture you in the dark scares the fucking hell out of me.

I saw Reno 911 Miami on Friday. Not as funny as I expected, but it was still funny. Lots of explosions, several cars, The Rock, a Whale. Some jerking off, tattoos, car crashes, helicopters, gay man on rollerblades whos dad is Peewee Herman :dio: . All in all a good movie, even if your not a fan of the show you should still check it out. 8.5/10

District 13. Woo, French action. With people doing that rather cool jumping-through-little-spaces thing. But it was bad without that, even with the Irish dubbing. :D

The Guardian - It's a goddamn conspiracy. I look at the cover, no Ashton Kutcher. I watch the film (with family, alas, so I cannot vent my spleen) and what twat-faced wanker do I see? I check the cover again - THEY'RE CHANGING HIS FACE SO YOU DON'T REALISE THAT IT'S HIM!!!!!!!!!!

:omfg:

Shitty film.

Watched the Good Shepherd.

Got completely confused, as I often do with spy films

However, I did shush some kids pretty menacingly, and they did heed me rapidly, so that made me feel like a badass.

Kind of dated, but only like 5 years I think. It's a great movie, but at the end it's one of the only movies where I am hoping for the "good" guy to win.

Overall 8 out of 10.

Yeah, I saw that too last night. Not bad, but because of all of it's hype over Denzil winning the Oscar back in the day, I basically knew what the story and twist would be, hence the reason why I hadn't seen it earlier. I do like the fact that it's like a movie version of 24. Agreed with your score.

I saw Beerfest as well. Like Freddy Got Fingered, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Battlefield Earth, it's one of those so bad it's good films. There were a few scenes where I was like, 'yep, that's happened to me', which is scary. 4/10 for that one.

And in all there's been 4 Series (seasons) of Ali G and one bastard movie. There's also been 3 DVD releases here in the UK, but only the first one, Ali G Innit, (when he did a sketch for a UK series call the 11 O'clock show) is worth searching out.
