Old Firm game tomorrow. We are playing great football at the moment and I expect us to win but these games are always tough.

Azrael, how are Sporting Lisbon playing at the moment? I hope they beat Rangers, but Rangers are a tricky team to break down.

they just sold off their best striker, Liedson. he's 33, in bad shape and becoming a bit of an asshole in the locker room, so it's good that they still made money off the trade, but the problem is that it leaves them without a single decent striker.

their forward line is now Saleiro, Djaló and Postiga, 3 shit players. they're either going to have to adapt to a new scheme or play Salomão (talented young winger) or Vukcevic (very good but moody attacking midfielder) further up and centre.

the whole club is in the toilet. the president resigned, they are all but broke, and the team has too many holes to plug, despite the talent of players like Carriço, Vukcevic, Matias, Valdez , Salomão and (constantly injured) Izmailov. they're 3rd in the league but closer to 4th place than the top. their academy is very good but the club is forced to throw youngsters in the deep end too often. in portugal they speak about the "belenensization" of Sporting (Belenenses is a small Lisbon club that won a single league title in the fifties).

even if they fight with everything they've got, because every match now is to save Sporting, they lack the talent to win. they just tied 3-3 at home against the team at the bottom of the league (with 2 goals from Liedson on his goodbye).

Torn. On the one hand, no one wants to see Rangers win, but on the other hand, Celtic have been thoroughly humiliating us lately. Bah.

The Old Firm ended 2-2 but Celtic were fantastic, dominated most of the game even though we were down to 10 men and really we should have won. I'm confident we'll get the job done in the replay.
