That be Rhona Mitra. A total hottie (the boob job didn't hurt, either). The other is Kate Mara, but there's few pictures of her out there. She's new, or something.

After watching the series i just had to watch this too.The best anime ever (series included).

I'm going to have to completely disagree with you there. The movie was awful and the series was worse. Maybe because I've only seen it in english. It happens alot. Naruto and One Piece, both new series in North America are awwwfuulll, but I have been watching both for over 2 years now on japanese fansubs and both shows are very entertaining and just plain great. I also dont like the animation in CB.

Your crazy, Cowboy Bebop is one of the best anime series, it's right on par with other series like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Trigun, Ruruni Kenshin and Berserk.

Cowboy Bebop +1 amazing anime series.

Death Note +1 amazing manga series.

I watched the first four episodes of The Office, hilarious in a very guilty pleasure sort of way.

Best anime movie IMO is Ghost In The Shell
Best series IMO is Elfen Lied

though I haven't seen enough anime to make those final decisions.

Yes Rome is. I think the first season was a bit better than the second, but a lot of that was HBO's fault.
Not surprised that you watched this too, K_Brahm.
BTW-I bought Plutarch's makers of Rome as well. To date I've read Caesar, Brutus, Antony, Sulla, and Marius's "lives", now reading about Cicero.

Someone needs to give Polly Walker (Atia) an award! (And she needs to give me a date, haha) That final closeup of her perfectly encapsulated her character's arc. Great way to end the show.

Edit-I'm looking at the last triumph scene in a different light now. I won't mention anything until everyone here that is going to watch the finale watches it, though.

Rome is indeed a great show, i like how it has a good combination of the stories of minor characters and major ones. I agree with whoever was above this post, that the first season was better but then again, i had much bigger expectations for season two.

I haven't watched the finale yet—so shoosh! I will watch it tonight. One thing about season two is that it's much more drama-driven than action, which is the opposite of season one. I still totally loved season two, though.

Sadly, this is it. I really wish HBO would somehow do a season three. Of course, not seeing the finale yet, I'm betting quite a few of the main characters die, so maybe a third season would make little sense.

Ghost In the Shell is overrated in my opinion. It was pretty incomplete if you hadn't read the manga series. For me the best anime movie goes to AKIRA, and best series NEON GENESIS EVANGELION.

it's a really hard choice for the best series because i've seen so many great ones. Movies are always a little trickier due to the time limit and if it will be to stand on it's own storywise (if people haven't seen or read the series it's based on does can it stand on it's own ?)

I dont even remember this. Anyways, its funny because I dont like any of those shows, except for Berserk. Death Note I havent read yet but based on the first few episodes of the show it seems ok at best. To help you understand where Im coming from, I like zany shows like: Azumanga Daioh, 2x2 = Shinobuden, Boboboobob (whatever the fuck its meant to be). And I like shows like Naruto and One Piece (Japanese only, very importent that).

Haven't seen the Death Note anime, but the manga's pretty fucking amazing. :dio: Probably the only manga series I've read in a long while that's kept me as interested as it has.

But if you say you like "zany shows," then I can understand why you wouldn't like Death Note much.

I thought Donnie Darko was very good...extremely confusing, though

I saw Shooter as well. Good action, pretty good movie...I'd give it a 3.5/5. The chicks were indeed smokin' hot
