So I decided I'm getting a PS3. Took a while to determine that's what I want and not a 360 but I'm pretty sure. 360's got more games I want, but PS3 has games I want more, which is important since it means I'll end up spending less.

My brother's got a 360 and he's cool about letting me play it, but that's only a few months out of the year when I'm home from school. One of my suitemates has one, but he's kind of a dick when it comes to sharing (despite the fact that all of my stuff other than my computer stays in the common room, and he comes and goes in my room as he pleases). So I only get to play when he wants a Left4Dead partner.

But at the end of the day, I'm more about RPGs than FPSs, and so I can get over the fact that I've got a 360 dangling in front of my face without access to it.

I'm eventually going to get a PS3. I need a new tv first, but as soon as I get a new tv the PS3 will be my next big purchase. Just too many good games that are out or are coming out that I don't want to miss.

Resistence 1 and 2
Killzone 2
LittleBigPlanet
Motostorm 1 and 2
God of War 3
Warhawk
Uncharted 1 and 2
InFamous

That is a pretty good list, and I am probably forgetting some.

Started on Gears Of War 2. Can't see what all the fuss is about, truthfully.

I started playing Knights Of The Old Republic (X-Box version) after going on a brief hiatus from it. Right now, I'm at the Vulker Base.

Metal Gear Solid? :P

And yeah, I've got a PS3 and I'm totally happy with it. Hardware-wise it's better than 360, biggest disadvantage is that Xbox Live is pretty awesome. Most of the best games are on both systems, so it's really not THAT big of a deal...

+1, my only problem right now is that I checked out Fable 1, but I can't believe that Fable 2 is X-Box exclusive. Anyone know if it will eventually be released for PC/PS3?

PC, yes possibly. PS3, not gonna happen because Microsoft has Lionhead deeply in their pockets.

Been playing Madden 08 for Wii a lot- I got it a few months ago for very cheap but couldn't get into the controls. Now I've got them down and it's a lot of fun.

My buddy has a PS3 and he has MGS4 and if I want to watch a movie I'll put a movie on. If I want to play a game, I am not putting MGS4 on.

In other words, I have never really been a fan of the Metal Gear series.

I've had Mega Man 9 ever since it was released on XBLA... and I still haven't been able to finish even ONE level in the game. That is definitely one of the hardest games I've ever played.

They do have long cutscenes. But I like it--it seems like the next logical step in gaming to me, with stories that are good enough to be movies. Very few games have anything that could even come close to the quality of a movie or book story.

Don't feel bad, the only robotmaster i've managed to defeat is Galaxy Man, but that's about it.

When I play a game I want cheap thrills, I don't want to have to sit back and put my controller down for 30 minutes. I want action dammit! Sure the story is great (even though I barely know what is going on) and the gameplay is good, but I want to play a game when I turn on my 360/PS3/Wii not watch a movie. Thus why I will never own MGS4.

GTA IV is dominating my life currently. The bank robbery mission you do with the Irish guys has to be one of the most intense moments I've had playing games.

God that was a great game... The sequel was pretty good as well, and gave you a bit more freedom than the first one. Unfortunately, they rushed production of the second game and the story makes very little sense, as if random chunks had just been left out.

And I agree that MGS4 is kind of disappointing... not even because of the extremely long cut scenes (which I do find annoying), but because the gameplay doesn't exactly captivate me either. I never played any of the other MGS games, so I guess that could be why, but I honestly don't see what the big deal is. Also, I don't think the long cutscenes are at all necessary for a game to have a great story. Cutscenes take control away from the player and force him to sit back and watch the story happen rather than letting him experience it for himself.

Right now I'm playing Mirror's Edge (fun, but kind of monotonous... and the story sucks), Resistance 2 (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah), BioShock (finally came out for PS3, one of the greatest games I've played recently... excellent story as well), Fallout 3, Oblivion (I still come back to it occasionally), Left 4 Dead, and Team Fortress 2 (basically the greatest online game ever...)

And one of the most rewarding gamewise. I felt like a poor smuch up until that point.

I was playing GTA4 last week, then my 360 red ringed... It's a 360 killer.

Last night though I did play some CoD: WaW. Which is pretty fun online, too bad it's not as good as CoD4 or I would be playing it a lot more.

When the fuck are you going to get a decent PC to play your games on?
