Little Big Planet - Addictive as fuck. One of the best next-gen games I have played since this era started.

Haze - Really not as bad as reviews led me to believe, pretty simple and pretty fun FPS. And I don't really like FPS games that much.

The guys who made Haze are also the guys who made the Timesplitters games.

Timesplitters 4 was like my most anticipated game to come out this year, but Free Radical closed because of the economy thus leading to financial problems. I am so sad now, I so badly wanted to play TS4.

Yeah the Timesplitter games were pretty good, better than Haze, which I guess is where most of the criticism must come from, people expecting to much awesome.

That's next on my list of games to play... should be picking it up some time this week. My friend has it and I was amazed that we could just sit there and play it for like 6 hours without getting bored.

dunno about TS4, but TS2 on the ps2 kicks ass. and wasn't Free Radical formed by some of the Rare guys behind Goldeneye?

Yessir.

TS2 and TS3 are classic in the FPS genre and some of my favourites. That's why I am upset about Free Radical closing. I wanted TS4 sooooo bad.

Oh yes, Black Mesa Source will be the best gaming in history. I get to revisit my beloved Half-Life in this beautiful new engine and all the other bonuses thrown in there.

Ooh, FEAR 2's coming out. Must finish the first. Someone get the second and tell me if it's any good.

I hope I'm not the only person in th world who actually enjoys Metal Gear Solid 2. I don't even have a problem with the new character, Raiden. And, shoot me for saying this, I think his girlfriend Rose is kind of cute (at least as far as "video game girls" are concerned).

Of course not MGS2 its an awesome game they improved so much over MGS1 controls that is such a joy to play the game, people complained because they wanted to play as Snake not Raiden and thats understandable you just dont replace the coolest videogame character ever just like that, i remember when i was playing the Raiden part i kept waiting to play as Snake again once i realize that it wasnt gonna happen i enjoyed the game a lot more.

MGS2 is a fine game. Second best to the first I'd say.

I love MGS2 and I love Raiden, it gave the game an interesting memorable twist and then Raiden became really badass especially in MGS4.. Im really excited to go through part 2 again.

What level do you guys normally play on? Take MGS for an example, back in the day I played on normal and the hard mode (with the radar off). I try and go for 'Hard' or whatever the equivalent in games, that sense of struggle is awesome.

For the most part I play a game on normal first, and then work my way up the harder modes as I go on (assuming its good enough to play more than once). I don't remember ever playing a game on easy, I fail to see how thats fun.

Depends a lot on the genre. Always the hardest possible for FPS and some other games but mostly normal. The games are usually best balanced around the normal setting. Except for Gears of War, which truly shines at Insane difficulty.
I generally play on harder settings on PC games. And never ever easy.

I usually play strategy games on easier settings, because I play them to think, not to waste my keyboard with memorised hotkeys, in order to win.
