I just finished watching Pi. Bit of a mindfuck.

Pi fucking sucked! One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I thought it was ok. Not something I'd watch again, but it was interesting enough.

Interesting, sure, slightly, but I just found it to be horrific overall.

Why? Was it the plot or the cinematography (which I admit was a bit odd)?

It was everything. There was too much...chaos, I guess, but nothing ever seemed to connect all the pieces, and at the same—though this contradicts what I just said—it was extremely plodding and boring. And yes, the cinematography was not good.

Did you ever watch The Thin Red Line? Remember the part where it's like 2 minutes of watching a bird twitch on the ground? It was supposed to be so poignant, but in reality it was just boring and pointless? That was 2 minutes, this movie was like watching that scene for an hour and a half.

Agreed there, but Jim Caviezel talking to his fellow soldiers, comforting the dying etc was pretty damn powerful.

I watched Boondock Saints a few days ago....I thought it might be boring, but in turn I got a really entertaining movie, so I enjoyed it even more with the low expectations.

I hate Humphrey Bogart. I used to love everything he did when I was younger, but then I realized how bad of an actor he is(was).

I liked Tenebre a little better, but, Suspiria is indeed quite good.
