Absolutely brilliant. :D Additionally, how good is Pachelbel's Canon, in any form?

It's probably my favorite piece of classical music ever. And every song based on it is awesome (Nocturnal Rites - Ring of Steel, TSO - Christmas Canon Rock and many others...)

Drugs are bad, m'kay?

This is called "Cartoon All-Stars To The Rescue." It aired once in April of 1990 as part of then-first lady Barbara Bush's anti-drug campaign. Every major television network that aired Saturday Morning cartoons was REQUIRED by the US government to simultaneously air this cartoon special.

Something I tend to do when I'm really bored is look at old TV commercials from the 80's and early-90's on Youtube. This is a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial from 1980. Two particularly notable things about it:

1. They were actually marketing KFC as being "healthy" at the time. I can attribute that to being either:

a) Because back then, people (including KFC themselves) didn't know as much about the ingredients in fast food as they do now.

b) KFC did, in fact, use higher quality ingredients in 1980 than they do now.

2. I wouldn't doubt that, if this commercial was being made today, that kid would not be allowed to dress like an Indian due to political correctness.

For those that remember fondly Warhammer: Dark Omen for the PC. Some guy does the last level with just the Bright Wizard and Grudgbringer Cavalry, and accompanies it with a Rainbow and Deep Purple soundtrack.

This is one of the best TV commercials ever:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfOgYIOho44

It's from the Spring of 1997 (I remember seeing it fairly frequently at the time). Just about every possible way you could poke fun at mid-90's TV advertising is in this one 30 second clip.

And here's its even better "sequel" from the Fall of 1997:
