The guy i'm talking about is a black fella, probably sporting a really crap American accent in a very small role. Sound familiar?

Yeah, I remember him. I can't really judge his performance, he says very little in it. What little dialogue there is, is short bursts of terribly cliched tripe.

I can't remember if I have wrote about this film here before or not. Anyways, Million Dollar Baby is a wonderful film and well worthy of the Oscars it received in 2004. And I don't even like boxing.
See it goddammit.

Disclaimer- No, it isn't.

That will be all. Carry on.

The other day I saw The Story of Ricky(funniest dubbing ever, fakest effects but still hilarious)...I also finally got the chance to see Sleepaway Camp which I liked alot for what it was...kind of your typical 80's slasher...with the weirdest twist ever.

New one. I was dreading it - fuck, Ethan Hawke's in it! - but it was suprisingly good.

Indeed.

An old Irish one called The Van. Quite good, shitty ending, and The League Of Gentlemen's Apocalypse. Why I bothered I know not. Maybe to see more Papa Lazarou, and he was hardly in it (my avatar).

Chinatown. Cringed at the tacked on ending, but what a great film regardless. I laughed, I grimaced, I raised my eyebrows, I dribbled into my rum and orange juice.

Finally saw Hostel. Definitely not very memorable. The Achilles tendon thing got me, but only because of my own odd set of phobias.

K-PAX, not the best movie ever but another outstanding performance from Mr Kevin Spacey...

also, The Fox & The Hound, the last classic Walt Disney animation movie... I still like it very much... 8)

ho, and I've seen Batman Begins a few days ago.. not bad but the Tim Burton's Batman movies were better imo...

I watched a movie called Crash...10/10 seriously a classic-rent it.

But, I got my friend to watch it and he didn't like it...but then again, he rates his movies by the number of gunshots in it.

The Aristocrats. It was ok. It got kind of old after about 30 min. into it.

Read the book. I wanted to cry by the (stupid) end.

In fact, read all three of Roddy Doyle's Barrytown books, The Commitments (much better than the film), The Snapper and The Van.

1. I thought Jeff Bridges was better, but Kev's still the man.
2. Woo! I remember that!
3. Agreed.

And thanks Rad, I'll have a butcher's.

Tombs of the Blind Dead- Cool atmospheric Spanish medieval zombie action- with inappropriate lesbian fumblings added in. Inexplicably my copied DVD morphs into the first 20 minutes of Deep Throat after the end credits.

Toolbox Murders remake- For a remake it had some pretty good grainy 70s ambiance, but sadly utterly ruined by one of the least menacing killers I've ever seen.

Stagefright- Memorable Italian slasher which tried way too hard to be American, and suffered from a dreadful soundtrack. Still pretty good though- I think Switchblade Romance may have taken some inspiration here :D
