same, like every line in that movie is an awesome quote :P

Maria Full of Grace - great movie about a girl who swallows drugs and brings them into the US. the ending was sort of an anticlimax but it worked out better that way

Fracture - kinda cheesy story and music but anthony hopkins and the other dude carry the movie. theres also lots of artsy lighting camera stuff thats pretty fun to watch too.

Brick - 7/10
TMNT - 7/10

Both enjoyable movies, nothing spectacular though.

Death Proof - this kinda reminded me of a Dream Theater album in that it's a blatant but good homage to Tarrantino's idols mixed with way too much self indulgent wank.

It's really pointless. I hated the backstory, and Rob's wife cannot act. If you haven't seen the original you might enjoy it, it's not really a "bad" movie, I just hated what Rob did to the character. The fact that Micheal was near-anonymous in Carpenter's movie made him more intimidating.

Is it super jumpy and well.. scary?

Because i'm such a scaredy cat.

I'm really afraid to see this movie.

It has few jumpy moments, but it's more gory than anything else. Rob Zombie went for more shock than scares.

It's just the other way 'round with me. I love getting the pants scared out of me, but I have no tolerance for gore.

Hmm, sounds kind of sucky what Zombie has done with Halloween. Shame, as I thought of all the crappier than crap blasphemous remakes he would stand a chance of doing something worth watching.

Watched Michele Soavi's Stagefright again, although it was late and I went to sleep.

This is one of my pet favourite films, nobody else seems to really know about it at all. It's an Italian horror that sits somewhere between Argento-style artyness and more conventional US slasher-ing. Apart from the horrifically cheesy 80s soundtrack it works really, really well and is a total undiscovered gem if you're into either Italian horror or classic slasher films and want to see something that is not especially original in concept but distinctive and effective nonetheless.

Black Snake Moan - Pretty good, but not as amazing as some say. Good acting, good soundtrack, poor story, good directing, slightly disappointing ending.

Yeah, his wife sucks bawlls at acting.

It wasn't terribly jumpy. But there was ONE part where I screamed hahah. I found myself really watching half of the screen, while the other was covered by my hand over my face.

The gore wasn't that bad either.

I thought some of the story line was kinda cute...

Although now I'm pretty sure I'm not having sex, in fear that I'm going to get murdered. Apparently it happens to everyone. :P

Shoot 'em Up. Lol :D

The 40 Year Old Virgin. Surprsingly sweet at times, actually, possibly because I could relate to it to some degree (no, I'm no 40 or a virgin). The best parts are the scenes involving the support characters because they often felt pretty real.

Jindabyrne - Unsettling little Aussie drama about some guys who find a body on a fishing trip but carry on fishing, although it's much more complicated than that. Laura Linney was great as usual.
