It sounds much bigger and way more epic than Fable 2. I love Fable 2, so if Fable 3 is better, it may be a GOTY for me in 2010. Sure it has to compete with BioShock 2, Red Dead Redemption and the likes... but that's just how much I love Fable 2.

Also, no MW2 public beta. We have to wait until November 10th to get my CoD fix...

Completed F.E.A.R. 2 last night. Bloody wonderful. Terrific atmosphere, tight tight combat and once you get into it it's hard to lay of. It's a proper hardcore FPS, no regenerating shields and other Halo-crap. You better find that headshot quick or it's your ass that's going down. Once the enemies start swarming it's balls out. The weapons feel right and everything has a real sense of weight to it.
And the melee-combat may seem like a fun gimmick but there are moments where you really have to utilize it to prevail. Oh, be sure to turn up the shadows, spotting them in advance is of great advantage.
Aaaah, I loved the first game and I must say that this is better in all ways. You can never feel relaxed, whether soldiers are closing in or Alma's playing tricks on you. Some moments are truly epic and I won't spoil them but keep your eyes peeled throughout

Also, the game runs like a dream on my computer. Maxxed out pretty much everything and never ever experienced any slowdown. If you can run Crysis okay then you can certainly run this baby.
Alas, do yourself a favour, play on hard!

Shadow Complex is incredible. I highly recommend that you all play it if you haven't already.

Does it get better after the first boss you get to in the trial version? I'm having doubts about it. Never liked the Bionic Commando Rearmed and not sure if this is so much better.


Played some The Force: Unleashed. Crappy game. It gets boring to kill enemies in the first 5 minutes or so. The controls are jerky, the force powers more gimmicky than awesome and I just found myself running through the levels so I could move on through the damn game. And guys with friggin sticks fighting against my lightsaber? Come on, it cuts through flesh and metal for fuck sake, most enemies should be dead from a slice or two but you can round up a long ass combo on them and they still get back up. Not to mention charging up a force push that throws big bad doors to hell but will only slightly hurt foes. Silly and poor design.


What did surprise me was the new Batman game. The demo gives the impression that it could very well be an interesting game. I don't see it grow boring quite as quick with it's combat mechanism.


I hate Microsoft from being such shameless capitalists in everything they do. Now I gotta wait for the NHL10 demo a week or whatever until I can play it since I'm on a silver account.

Actually, I've only played the Trial version of the game. I'll be picking up the full version I don't know when (October, may be?). There's been so much great stuff released for XBLA this summer, and there'll be plenty more released during the Fall too (Doom 2, Perfect Dark, and Quake Arena to name just a few) that I don't know which games to buy right now.

I know I'm a little late to the party but I'm playing Fallout 3 now. I was a huge fan of Fallout 1 and 2 but wasn't very excited about 3 but I'm having a lot of fun. Constantly dying though :P

Hmm, I played those games back in the day. Not sure they will work now but Quake Arena is pretty rock solid.

IGN scores Arkham Asylum 9.3, and it looks REALLY good. I was going to wait for a price drop, but I may not be able to resist.

I think I'm going to pick up the Metroid Trime trilogy- a collection of all three games, all for the price of one, with revamped Wii controls. Normally I wouldn't ever rebuy a game I have, but these are three of my favourite games ever, and the only problem I have with the first two is that the Gamecube controls are nowhere near as good as the Wii ones for Prime 3.

And if it gets good reviews, I'll have to pick up NHL 2K10 for Wii, which is getting good pre-release press. Gotta love hockey games, and unfortunately, EA doesn't release for Wii (and the PC versions of their games kind of suck).

I got Little King's Story for the Wii yesterday. Stunning game it is, and the music is comprised or various takes of classical scores. Upon getting to the title screen for the first time and hearing Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" play out I knew this game'd be at least as good as I'd hoped .

Pre-ordered mine a few weeks ago, will be picking it up tomorrow.

Look, I would never claim that the Wii has more good games than PS3 and X Box. And there are times when I definitely regret buying a Wii instead of an X Box. But if people have spent the $250 on their Wii, a decent amount of money, I'd think they'd actually spend time researching games instead of just complaining that there are no good ones besides Zelda and Mario. There are good games on the Wii. There's a lot of crap, true, but there are plenty of games I've bought/rented and really enjoyed, and a lot I'd love to try but don't have the money for. And if you can get over the fact that Wii games will not have as good graphics as the X Box, but still might have pretty awesome graphics, some multiplatform games actually work much better on the Wii than other consoles.

Picked up my pre-order of Batman today (lol Wii). Haven't played it yet due to work, but as soon as I get home I will. That 9.3 out 10 is just too good to make it wait any longer.

Im still undecided if i should get it right away or wait, i already have 4 games that i havent played and im currently playing GTAIV wich is awesome, i wouldnt want to rush my first playthrough just because Arkaham Asylum is sitting on my shelf, plus Uncharted 2 is almost here.

All I can say (besides lol Wii) is that Batman is fucking fantastic. One of the better games I have played in a very long time. I only got to play for a few hours last night, but I had a blast. Will be playing the shit out of tonight. Whether you get it right away or wait, it is damn worth it. You can trust me on that. Plus you get to play as the Joker since you have a PS3, lucky prick.
