Oh god alot of these new ones are freaking terrible. The show has sort of degraded into a self parody, like the episodes are being written by someone trying to make fun of the show. (Alot of shows end up that way, that's why you are supposed to go out on top.) I read somewhere that Groening wanted to end it at season 10, but the network wasn't going to let that happen, so now he is still in the credits but has no direct involvement with the show, hence the shittyness.

I could believe that. Its a totally differnet show with a bunch of totally differnet characters that just happen to share the appearance and voices of the old ones. In fact, even some the voices are off now - Homer and Mr Burns in particular.

Yeah, homer has gone back to that deep voice he had in season 1. plus moe's voice is deeper and MUCH less funny, so is burns, and even lisa sounds different, more like Yeardley (the voice actor's) real voice.

Fuck, i mean theres only so much you can do with the one idea. The stories these days are either outlandish or draw inspiration from the classic episodes from yesteryear. I mean marge almost had an affair when she left home and to work in dugong preservation. Er, guys, you already did that show in season ONE when marge went bowling and almost had an affair! The show should have ended years ago, now its just pissing on its legacy as one of the best shows on tv ever.

Anyone know about the movie? I really hope it doesnt suck :roll:
