I've always heard that game called Capitalism. Great game; I used to play it at lunch with my friends in high school.

Yes, I believe we are talking about the same game. First person to get rid of all their cards is President for the next round, last person is the asshole. You can make anyone ranked below you drink whenever you want, i.e. the Pres can make anybody drink, the asshole can't make anybody drink, the VP can make anybody but the Pres drink, and so on.

You need to try the Portrait of the Soul drinking game.

How, praytell, does one play this game?

Its a little complex, and it doesn't sound anywhere as cool on paper as it actually is. But here we go:

Our story begins when my friends returned home from a practice studio to find one of those stupid "Sex Files" shows on late night Sky TV and in an inspired moment one of them taped it. This particular one, "Portrait of the Soul" is, ahem, based on Portrait of Dorian Gray.

The 'best' part of the film is what leads to the drinking game. The characters suffer from an affliction whereby they seem to end every single sentence they speak with the name of the character they are speaking to. This si made better when you consider they all have ridiculous softcore porn names:

"Relax, Crystal, relax."
"That's right...Rhonda"
etc

The ultimate best part is the villain, Drake van Horne ( :roll: ) who not only conforms to these rules (with a big exaggertaed pause before speaking their name) but also has a habit of randomly appearing out of nowhere, in locked rooms and such. It supposed to be creepy, but its just gutbustingly funny.

Anyway, the rules of the game are simple.

1) One shot for every time a character's name is spoken
2) Two for every time Drake randomly appears or disappears
3) Video may be paused at a sex scene for people to recuperate.
4) Use any sort of booze you want, but its advised you make your shots up with beer or cider. This may sound very pussy, but when you consider we in one instance counted 17 shots in a 35 second sequence you may get the message.

Anyway, as I say, I'm sure that doesn't sound too impressive, but if you ever happen to see this movie on TV, watch it and you'll see what the appeal is.

I'll keep an eye out for that one on Skinemax.

In related news, I'm strongly considering changing my username to Drake van Horne.

HAHAHAHHA!! Actually that sounds pretty fun.


It reminds me of a game my friend and I made up. Watch "Meat the Parents," and every time Ben Stiller has an uncomfortable moment, take a shot or drink. It is next to impossible to finish.

Drinking games are awesome. My personal favourite is:

1) Everyone pours a shot.
2) On 3, everyone downs it, the first to do so gets a free bonus shot.

Repeat ad infinitum.

You can apply drinking rules to almost any board game (chess is great!), but I have a feeling you guys know this already.

Its quite a name to live up to. You'd have to finish every second sentence with "...Detective."

But by all means, go ahead.

quite strange, i've drank sth of +80% and after a few drinks, i couldn't feel my head :?

I've been in a couple of drinking games. The absolutely deadliest one, however, was our Beer Marathon. We ran laps around the block, and at every corner of that block there was a person who held a pint at the ready for us. The objective was to run a smashing twenty laps. I got to five before passing out against a baker's shop.

Me and some guys from my student chamber are planning to organise a beer bowl after our January exams, could be fun too.
