Started watching Ichi The Killer. Pretty nasty, but so far not as unpleasant as I've heard. The rape scenes were pretty hard to watch though.

I found that movie to be just plain badass. I wasn't unsettled by it though, but it does get pretty dirty.

"How can I get any clients when you keep fucking up my face!"

No Country for Old Men. Fantastic.

Now I'm waiting on There Will Be Blood, which I expect to be the year's best.

I meant: the film wasn't bad, or the person you went with wasn't bad?

RW: Cute Aussie film called The Night We Called It A Day, about Frank Sinatra's Australian tour.

That film was bullshit.

Fay Grim - artsy uber-espionage movie. funny throughout, occasionally hilarious and with an incomprehensibly dense storyline. Parkey Posey does a great job of being a character who is honest and disinterested with the spy stuff, basically bouncing around like a pin-ball from what all the other people are telling her to do.

I agree. NCFOM was super.
Saw I am Legend today. I liked it, worth a watch. Kinda depressing though

First Snow - Slow paced, understated but well done movie about a guy who turns super paranoid after a visit to a fortune teller. Guy Pearce does a great job, my only complaints are that the characters other than Guy's could have been elaborated more and some stuff isn't really realistic.

Man do I know what that's like. I just moved to the city a couple months ago, and now I know who my true friends are. The ones that actually come and visit and stay with me. But it's ok I have made several new friends who are actually better than my last ones. So I guess I'm ok.

Funny I bring this up in the movie thread.

Oh and I did see the newest harry potter movie.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, I just have to say if I knew anybody like that Granger chick i'd kill myself.
