I know they have made more, but those are the ones they have made that I own/will own.

KOTOR 2 was not made by Bioware. And just so you know their best game is still Baldur's Gate II.

Yeah Bioware is a veteran at making great games. I was mainly asking as to what team developed Dragon Age, I know the newer Texas studio is doing the KotoR MMO, and after googling just now it seems that Team Edmonton did this one. I'm at ten hours through right now and am going back for moar! The music and v.o. plus story makes for some memorable moments. The combat is stellar, tons of depth. I can't wait to see all the mods popping up in due time, Bioware rules. This makes me even more excited for Mass Effect 2!

Started Fallout 3, runs wonderfully on W7. I always get the urge to see how long I can survive after running up to someone random and whacking them with a baseball bat.

What I love about Mass Effect and Dragon Age is that I want to talk to everyone I see. I usually get tired of talking to NPCs in other games and I only go for the important dialogue choices. But the way the characters interact in Dragon Age I never get tired of listening to everything they have to say.

The codex is another thing that makes these games epic and unforgettable. Baldur's Gate had a lot of books scattered around the world. I just never cared much for the lore and I hated carrying those damned books around in case I wanted to read them later.

What surprises me the most is how great the game is on the PC. Nothing about it feels like a console port and it's supposedly much harder than the console version. Awesome.

I totally agree dude. DA is fucking incredible, great game. I too got it on PC, and it looks fantastic and runs easily enough. The dialogue choices and story are very good I am pleased to say. I love the outcomes and suprises in store for the player depending on what they discover and decide. BTW what are you playing as? I went female elven mage, though I want to try a fighter as well and I will probably play a dwarf next playthrough. Is this game made by the team who did Jade Empire? Maybe not but it sure feels high quality.

Nice impressions on Uncharted and the like guys, thanks. I'm torn for picking up either it or Rachet, since I can only get one. They both are fun and AAA games, but I'm leaning towards Rachet cause of the length and depth...... erm..... wow. Multiplayer is not a major concern right now as I'm burnt out on it and got to level 40 this last time on Uncharted and the first got to 20 something.

Haha. I'm playing a female elven mage too. I almost always play a spellcaster the first time I play games like this. Spells add more strategy, which is the best thing about Bioware's RPGs.

It''s fun! Fairly repetative, though. And the initial tutorial is epically long, although that's the norm for a kingdom hearts game, really. I'd say pick it up! Playing with the Organization members is pretty cool.

Lucas Arts?

And I never was one to play RPGs on the PC.

KOTOR 2 was made by Obsidian, I believe.

You didn't get CoD4 did you? I never saw you play it.

Hopefully with MW2 we can actually play together. Unlike that horribly failed attempt at playing Gears 2 together.

I've played CoD4 numerous times at my neighbors, but always on his account since I never bought it.

Yes, the Gears attempt failed miserably. I spent $25 on that All Fronts pack or whatever it was called and I've hardly played it at all.

Nice and true that. I love the balance involved, I actually feel like my character is unique and a valuable asset to the party and the tactics allow for some cool battles. I can't believe I played the game for nearly 12 hours into the wee hours this morning. I haven't been this engrossed in a looooong time. Best of all I know its not going to end soon, and plenty of side quests abound. Bioware did a great job with the story and cutscenes.

And Afro is right Obsidian developed KotoR II and are making Alpha Protocol as well as doing Neverwinter Nights II which with all its mods is not a bad game. Just a shame their publishers rarely give them a chance to polish the games up a bit more. My sister was majorly bummed after Alpha Protocol was delayed again, she really loves the developer.

Oh, any help as to where my screenshots are being saved would be a major help if anyone is in the know. I have taken some decent pics I want to share with my friends, but alas, have know clue as to their whereabouts.

That's right, Obsidian made KOTOR II, but before that they were called Black Isle and were responsible for some of the best western rpg's ever made - Fallout 1/2, Icewind Dale 1/2 and Planescape Torment. Best thing of all is that they are only for PC. Fuck multiple platform releases.

I'm running on XP so in my case it's My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Screenshots.

if you ever check out my achievements you will notice that I have most of the All Fronts achievements. My friend and I got as many as we could right away before it got boring.

Thanks for the help, I was searching everywhere. I'll probably just use fraps cause I want a few videos to go along with it. I agree, Black Isle made some classics, even before Bioware did their stuff. I'll never forget when I first bought Fallout, I was a teen and my sis and I loved the sound of it. Man that game was intense and so gory. As good as Baldur's Gate is I will always be partial to Icewind Dale, from the intro to the game I was absorbed in its world. I love me some dark elves(Drow I know) and the spine of the world. It was my first encounter with Yuan Ti and it freaked me out, plus they were hard for me.
I actually own Planescape but need to restart it, got into it later than the others. I also plan to play Arcanum soon which I hear was developed by some ex-Black Isle guys.

Attempting to play Rome Total War with some modicum of skill. Maybe it's because it runs smoother on my new computer, but I almost feel like I know what I'm doing now.

Dragon Age does indeed kick serious ass. I'm loving it, but since I picked Rogue for main character I find that the battles often become harder than they are supposed to. Mages and Warriors are great, but the rogue always lack behind and all I ever do is run around in circles with mobs chasing her so the rest of the party can kill them off. More like bait than a sneaking assassin in the shadows...
Oh well, someone got to open those locked boxes, might as well be my character...

My first character was also a rogue and some battles in the beginning were almost impossible (defending Redcliffe from the horde of zombies). Right now however he is the best damage dealer in the party. Just have a warrior with activated "threaten" so that enemies attack him instead of you and go behind them for a quick kill with backstab.

Yeah I have a tank-warrior but grabbing the big groups is hard work :)
I might be lacking in equipment so far as well, because the backstabbing isnt hurting very well atm. Should not complain too much perhaps, still not very far into the game. The scope is pretty epic, I can't imagine how many hours of playtime there's here to experience.

Haha nice man, I hear that. I can't tell you how many freakin' chests I couldn't open cause my party were larsonally challenged(lol stupid word I know). I'm not a major completionist by any means but knowing I could be missing out on some phat loot bugs the hell out of me. I loved in KotoR how I was able to put up security and whathaveyou for insurance on my main character.

I took a little time off to play Uncharted 2, I had to get that cuase I couldn't afford Ratchet. I beat it in two days, and my woman watched nearly the whole thing, she loves it. It is a great game, if not possibly the most gorgeous game EVAR! Lots of unlockables which is cool, though online I believe I ran into some cheaters/hackers. I was playing just standard DM and I would be in hidden places sniping way far away and they would be running and gunning my guys down and getting shot, then they'd turn perfectly like a bot and scope me with a few basic pistol shots(92fs) when I was not exposed at that angle. Then they(these two guys with BS accounts) would be fighting me, I'd be kicking their asses and all of a sudden one would stop and then start running again like he was typing something and all of a sudden I couldn't move until I respawned. I know it may be buggy but they were complete bs. Anyway, great game both online and off.
