I caught a sale on used games today which worked out to 'buy 2 get 1 free'. So, I picked up Gears of War 2, Bioshock, and Dead Space for xbox 360.

How do you like Dead Space? I've been dying to play it again lately but I loaned it to a friend and he never gave it back... maybe I should just go buy it again since it's so cheap now.

I'd buy a gun shoot your friend and get the game back, no?

The problem is that he moved over the summer and I don't know where he lives now.

And... I think re-buying the game would be cheaper than buying a gun.

Dead Space is as fun as stubbing your toe, a toe in which you have an in grown nail.

I really enjoyed it.

Bought F.E.A.R., John Woo's Stranglehold, and Just Cause today at Gamestop's buy 2 get 1 free sale. So far, Stranglehold is insane, andF.E.A.R. is okay (and really not all that scary) . Haven't played any of Just Cause yet.

The first F.E.A.R, I assume? Gets boring fast, very little change in your surroundings.

want an awesome game that is actually creepy? Well that would be Bioshock, if you haven't already gotten it. You should look to get it ASAP as the new one comes out soon.

Yeah, the first F.E.A.R. I liked the demo for it that I got in a magazine, but the full game is a bit though. The firefights are intense and often challenging though.

And @ Walnut, I haven't gotten around to playing Bioshock yet, but one of my good friends has it and when I'm through playing through yesterday's purchases I'll borrow it from him.

are you an X-Box 360er?

if so, do you have X-Box Live?

if so, what is your gamertag?

I do not, unfortunately, have Xbox Live Gold at the moment. But I hope to soon get a one-year subscription card for Christmas, and if not then, I'll just go buy one myself. I don't even remember my gamertag at the moment, all i know is that it's something along the lines of voltron293. Might be capitalized or underscored, but I'm pretty sure it's not underscored.

well, if you do get a 1 year subscription for christmas or end up buying your own then you should post your gamertag on here so the good people here at MR who do have X-Box Live can enjoy gaming with you.

I have 3 people from this site on my friends list. I was suppose to add Mintrude, but I forgot. Now I don't know his gamertag.

Finished Assassins Creed 1, some good ideas but the game is awfuly repetitive, controls were ok at best, story was intriguing but it didnt lead anywhere, got the game fairly cheap so i guess it was worth it, still i dont think im gonna buy Assassins Creed 2 anytime soon even though i hear its a great imrpovement over the first, maybe when the price goes down. - 65/100

Also finished The Darkness, very fun little game, controls were your classic FPS style controls but with the added bonus of your darkness powers, wich are quite faboulous by the way, story was fairly good with some shocking moments that were quite nice (or sad), you can get the game for almost nothing right now so if anyone hasnt play this id strongly recomend to buy it. - 75/100

Im gonna start playing Folklore this week.

Assassins Creed 2 takes everything good or awesome from the first one and improves on it vastly. They also cut out the bullshit repetitive crap. Much more variety to the missions and the story is way better. Plus, Ezio actually has an accent where Altair sounded like a B movie actor at best.

Trust me, when you finally play AC2 you will be blown away by the improvements.

Is it worth playing through the first one? Started it, but lost my save game two or so missions in, and not sure whether I can be bothered doing it all again. Unskippable cutscenes... :omfg:

The first one is still a decent game, and if you want to play the second one then you should beat the first one. Just so it's easier to follow the story which at times can get a little far-fetched. But if you are just in it for the game play, then skip AC1 and jump head first into AC2.

Playing Morrowind for the first time. I have a feeling this game will be taking my life hostage.
