16. The "board" wants Valefor unbanned because he's NOT an elitist, arrogant asshole.
17. I AM an elitist, arrongant asshole and no one likes me here.

My two pence:

Truthfully, Ken, you have your annoying moments. You do like the last word, you are a bit quick to insult, in jest or not. We argue a lot, yet manage to stay fairly friendly (or am I being over-presumptous?). I'm not the easiest guy to get on with, so why others can't do the same is beyond me. The ones who've been banned should stay banned, let's move on.

From the day I got here I made it a point to say I joke around, I think it's rather obvious. You say something sarcastic to me in a joking way, and I reply "homo," how can you take offense? It takes a LOT of prodding to get me to really insult someone (see the Evanescence thread).

I don't like the last word, if I did I would say it and lock the thread. I do defend my opinion, though. Look at that Kittie thread I started a while back, the hit or miss, it was like 20 misses to 1 hit. EVERYONE here went into that thread and gave their opinion as to why Kittie sucked, how is that any different? I don't care that most people here don't like nu-metal, if they can defend that opinion, why I can't I defend mine? Because it goes against the norm? Because I don't share the majority opinion here people look at me as an asshole because they can't accept why I would like that shit. You want proof?

I can recall cases (well, one at least) where I've made a joke about your new status and been called 'immature' for it. What's more immature, calling people names or what I said? I must admit, when I first realised you were a mod, I was pretty annoyed. Yet you've proven yourself to be capable enough, even if you do start too many daft threads. I see you as much a member of the forum as a mod - hell, I get on fine with Daniel and Aaron, so why not you? This whole thing has been overblown terrifically, and even though I don't think V/B/whateverthefuckhisnameisnow should've been banned, I can respect the decision, having called for bannings myself on several occassions.

There definately is an Us v Them situation in the team, anything like that on the boards is a reflection.

I was asked to be a mod, I didn't request it. I said I would do so. There was no need for anyone to complain about me being a mod especially since I have been a mod for months now and have done very little moderating. To complain about that is immature, sorry. That's how I see it, because it is inconsequential.

I am here to promote music. Plain and simple. If people don't like my input on things maybe I'll ask them to delete the Hellheim forum? I mean, Daniel and I were the only two to defend this forum when everyone else was about to remove it. I can do that, I can go and not give a shit about this forum and move on. If that's what people want.

Stop being a silly, of course we want you! Personally, I think the forum/s could do with a tad more moderatoring, especially some of your posts. You do tend to, how can I put it...act the arse sometimes. Still, not a real problem, and there's usually something to laugh at, so what the hell? Keep it up. Just expect complaints! (joke).
Now Aaron's no longer a mod, we need you and Daniel to represent the forumites to the team. So cease thy quivering, and get r' done! Don't delete Helheim, it is needed for all the "OMG WTF Eyesore bannd Valefor!" threads, which otherwise would go in the site forum. Not a good idea. So, things should be changed as little as possible. Keep up the good work, and get that Korn classic done!

I did! I just have Tact level 7 (OK, level 6), so usually avoid making huge battles over what are essentially small problems.

Well, in fairness, it seems you take the unpopular opinion sometimes just for the sake of starting shit. I have no problem with debates, it's just when someone keeps trying to convince a whole site that say, Kittie is metal when everyone else doesn't just seems like a set-up. If you think they are fine, but saying it once is enough. And starting threads like "Why does Evanescence Suck" is just opening the door for pointless pissing contests to take place. And the whole thing about Black Metal, I don't care if you don't like it. The point is, a while back we had this whole Black Metal/Power Metal thing going on where the Black Metal folk kept going out of their way to put down Power Metal and vice-versa. We called a truce on it. This happened before you got here, so hall pass granted.

And, I really don't want you or anyone else to leave, believe it or not.

Please take a look at the Post Your Collection thread and look through what I listed. I am not defending any band just to "start shit." I am 30 fucking years old, dude. I don't have the time or interest in that, I come here to discuss and promote music. I don't come here to intentionally cause arguments. Just becausee I don't just say "I like Kittie" and then walk away doesn't mean I'm causing fights. No one else goes, "Kittie sucks" and then walks away. It's a two-way street here, if people can talk trash about bands, shouldn't I be able to defend them? Even if it's not the norm? That's only fair.

The Evanescence thread turned into something I didn't intend it to turn into. Then of course all hell broke loose. I explained my point numerous times in that thread, though, well before the whole Valefor thing, I can do no more than that. If people choose to ignore it that is not my fault.

This is pointless. Fuck it. Eyesore is right. V picked a fight he shouldn't have, and it ended in his banning.

I was wrong. I went looking through some posts of his, and after a few hundred, I said 'this is idiotic' and quit. That's because this is idiotic. Like it or not, V was in the wrong to do what he did and should have just cut it out. The followup private message, while probably not a recommended action, was not insulting if you put it into context.

There's no bigger issue here; I voted out of personal bias and argued with Eyesore on this out of plain shithead stubborness, and I am sorry for doing that.

Let's stop all the ludicrous fucking squabbling and just talk about metal, like we came here to do in the first goddamn place instead of bickering like children over who gets the biggest eclair.
