5. I'm a feminist.
Really? Interesting.
I would imagine that this would have been obvious, given how much of a tomboy I am. Though I'm definitely third wave, not second wave; I don't automatically think porn is evil or degrading and I like the company of men.
And I believe you made fun of people who worship Ani Difranco once, another curveball! =)

6. I refuse for political/moral reasons to use the words "gay" or "faggot" in a derogatory context.
I would never use those words in front of a gay person, but I'm always things are gay and the word "fag" comes from my mouth on occasion. What's your reasoning? If you don't mind me asking.
I've always been vehemently anti-discrimination, and I know from experience (ignore the after-school-special qualities of this next statement, it's true) how much words can hurt. I have a lot of lesbian friends, and I'm employed by Mount Holyoke's gay and lesbian cultural house; it's just one of the smaller issues I take up.
I think context is more important than the word itself. I mean, should a gay person be offended if I called my straight friend a fag? Sure, they can assume I'm implying that they're gay, which is then a bad thing, but too many words have a double meaning. Obviously when someone calls someone a "fag" it doesn't always mean they're calling them "gay." The same goes for the word "gay." If I'm watching a football came and a ref makes a bad call and I go, "Pfffft! That's gay!" it really has nothing to do with homosexuality, so should someone who is gay take offense? I don't think so.
Of course, I usually guage people first before I open up. I'm shy so it's not like I'd roll up to your gay friends and be like "What up, faggots?" You know?
