Bush just acts really stupid so that the common person can relate to him. He probably wanted that to be overheard.
so that means the common american is really stupid?
America as a whole values the "common man." That's why he speaks with that ridiculous affected Texas accent, despite being from Conneticut. We eschew anything that looks like "elitism," but in recent years, this has meant embracing mindless Christianity and Blue Collar TV. I weep for my native land.
Christianity doesn't have to be mindless.
No. But the brand that's popular right now is.
"born again"?
Nope, the kind that thinks Creationism should be taught in science class, teaching teenagers about condoms will lead to premarital sex, and Bush was put in place by the new version of the divine right of kings.
Why shouldn't Creationism be taught in schools? Oh, and if you give kids condoms they will use them and then, eventually, not use them...
teaching creatonisim is like teaching the stork theory is sex ed. and if you don't give teenagers condoms, they will eventually have sex anyway not knowing shit about birth control, AIDS or any other STD
1. Not, if you have teachers that know what they are talking about. Teachers that can show the flaws in evolutionary theory.
2. When condoms are given out in school the teen sexual activity and pregnancy rates go up. It's a fact. Why not just tell kids that the best thing is not to have sex until you are at least an adult and are ready for the responsibility it brings.
there are no flaws in darwins theory. we just did this in science class this year. the public shcool teacher in a highly catholic community told us that creationism is bollocks and that evolution is teh awesome.
Oh, well in that case I better shut up and go home...
First and foremost. Evolution has no explanation for the human mind. Where do things such as morality come from? If evolution was true, then our whole lives would be surival based. This is clearly not the case.
oh yes it is. animals are dying out while humans have advanced technology and are multiplying like mad. We've adapted to our environment, we've reached a peak in evolution. We'll probably end up wiping out each other in a nuclear war and leaving the place to a radiation loving new human species. but if creationism i true, then why do our minds also hold all this capability for anger and violence?
Violenve goes back to the Fall, Adam, and Eve.
*dear god, could we have another shot at that forbidden fruit thing? thank you, on behalf of all humanity, MR*
and who put the violence there? if violence was brought with the apple, then who put the apples there in the first place?
