Nowadays christianity is a lot more liberal and not nearly as powerful as Islam (except maybe in stronly catholic countries.)

but there's one good thing about the catholic church. They don't try to disprove Darwin theories/evolution, they support it - instead of that silly intelligent design so many christians nowadays find more plausible :)

Ironic, given that the reason we don't like Nazism is because it deems people unwelcome based on their religion.

but that's not the reason nazism is unwelcome. the inherent intolerance in general is what makes nazism so unwelcome.

Intolerance is intolerance, regardless of whether it's general or specific, surely?

what i meant is that religion wasn't the only thing Nazis discriminated against.

They don't support Darwinism. They just don't support intelligent design, which when taken to its logical conlusion has only a bit more to do with Christianity than evolution.

whats the logical conclusion you speak of?

i can see that intelligent design is the mix of darwin and creationism but it seems more like christianity: 80% Science: 20%

Christianity, particularly in the US, is exactly like Islam. Both discard any resemblance to spirituality in favour of controlling people's thoughts and lives through fear. Whereas Christianity prefers to instill a kind of metaphysical fear of hell and psychological insecurity, Islam prefers actual physical violence. If someone is stupid enough to join the religion herd, then fine. But if we have any chance of progressing as a species then these relics of medieval social repression need to be discarded once and for all.

Btw, there were these fucking evangelist pricks at my uni today with a big poster board. They wanted people to write what they would do if they had one day left to live. Amongst the "Praise Jesus" shit I drew a big cock and wrote, "Put this in teh wimminz!"

Hahah, that was a killer quote!!

But sadly, actually, Islam was not meant to be so violent. Yeah, Jihad IS mentioned in the Quran, but all they were tought were to defend their religion. Yes to war, only if provoked. But as in most cases, the shit happening at present is caused by the extremist who, I would say, misinterpreted the Quran. The actual Islamic teaching don't promote violence. And governments punishing people by severe torture are not part of the Quran. I guess they just wanna control their people by instilling fear through the religion. Christianity did that ages ago. It's all for self glory, nothing else.

I'm quite glad the extremist are not strong over here. Yeah we had a few incidents a coupla years ago, but they were exterminated almost immediately.

The most famous incident happened in '98, when a group of terrorists took hold of a hill in the North and abducted a few soldiers. They were obviously extremist, because of the few soldiers they kidnapped, 2 of them were non Muslims. A hindu and a Christian. The hindu guy got his face smashed with durians (alive) and the christian guy got both his feet destroyed. The extremist fired their AK-47's until his feet were no more.

But thankfully the police and the army reacted very quick and brought the situation under control. The extremist were sentenced to death.

Oh, by the way, you do know what durians are, right?

Dude, that's every Malaysian's favourite fruit!!!

It's always funny to see how the foreigners get disgusted over the stench. But my God.....I just can't imagine myself going thru a year without eating durians. Damn...gotta wait till September for the next fruiting season.

All I know is that Anthony Bourdain loved them.

Smashing someones face in with a durian = awesome beyond words.

I hear durians smell like a rotting junkyard or something, but they taste delicious. I'll have to try one if i ever visit Malaysia.

Wahabist Islam
is a threat to peace and rights
more so than Christians

it comes from Saudi
Arabia, where it's the
basis of the state

but we can't confuse
a form of fascist leader-
ship with immigrants

I hate both Christianity and Islam. Where I live there's a LOT of fundamentalist wackos who tell you you're going to hell if you don't pray every day, and you eat fish on fridays. Goddammit. Also, having pagan pride, I'm pissed at all the massacres conducted by christians against pagans. Norway under king Olaf maybe?

just as you will use anything as an excuse to bash me, I like to use all the stuff I can find as an excuse to hate Christianity. Olaf came to the throne, what did he do? started killing pagan farmers. When he was killed in a battle against organized rebel farmers, he was martyred and sanctified.

i always just make some jokes about or with you yes. but you post about your pagan pride kinda pissed me off. DOn't you think it's somewhat hypocrite to look down on 'fanatics' in your country while you are just the same, only not extreme but still hateful against some fuckwad king who is expected of religious prosecution? i am fully tolerant of any(real) religion. That doesn't mean i agree with it's ideas or past, and it certainly doesn't mean i agree with the utter shits that mostly lead these religions. But i do respect and sometimes admire the people who follow a religion for the sole purpose of trying to use their religion to help others, or to use it as support in their lives. this being said, my rant is pretty much over. No harm intended from my side in my last post but maybe i just misunderstood what you said.

I have a profound dislike for Christianity, living where I do where papist groups are all over the place hanging up their "donate money, save your soul from hell" signs... pisses me off to no extent. I hate them, dammit! Not one priest who passed me hasn't stopped to criticise me for my Thor's Hammer or the inverted cross I used to wear (not anymore). Dammit.
