Yawn. So you don't like any films that aren't "deep"? None at all? Stop being such a goth.

Not that I thought this film was all that incredible or anything but it was an example of how to do flashy/trashy well.

Not at all, but the way people talk about it annoys me.

All Stef said (first time round) was:
Quote:
8,5/10

better than I expected

Hardly felating Robert Rodriguez, is it?

It doesn't deserve more than 5.

Your opinion.

better than I expected... tis like a better Mary Poppins (especially 'cause the kinds have more believable personalities and 'cause they're isn't any dull song)

6/10 (recommanded for children and Zad  )

The songs made Mary Poppins the masterpiece it is! This is some cheap cash-in.

The trailer made it look like one of the worst things ever comitted to film. What was even worse was the crowd of knuckledraggers cackling their idiotic heads off.

And they're making a Scary Movie 4.

I know. the 'parodies' were bullshit, and the 'plot' often disappeared, replaced by an obtuse parody which made NO sense. the parodies were straight rip offs, no change to them, like at the end an owen wilson look alike comes out and says (at the end of a wedding) is it too late to crash the fockyerdoder wedding? how is that parody? its just dumb. plus a stupid cat with SHITTY animatronics kept showing up. SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT!

Final Destination 3.

Not even in the same league of badness as I was expecting. Craptacular ending, however.

The second one had me laughing my ass off, often at the ridiculously cruel detail and effort put into all those deaths, but mostly at the attempts to advance the plot.

"You were in on a bus a year and a half ago? Why, that was the very same night I...." etc

This one was just annoying. Plus, Tony Todd didn't appear this time round.

Annoying characters maybe, but FD films always seem to pull off great death scenes. The girls in the sunbed was really very brutal considering that this was definitely a film aimed at the younger end of the horror market.

That's true. The fact I was the only one in the cinema not laughing was, erm, disturbing. Usually the deaths are genuinely funny.

Another thing FD movies are great at is black stereotypes. That jive-talkin' sucka in the second one could say "bullshit" like no man alive.

Haha, actually yes that's also true. During the opening segment to part 3 I was really groaning inwardly at the ultra-cliched high school menagerie. Dumb cheerleaders? Check. Stupid sex-obsessed dullard? Check. Black football player talking jive? Check. Cynical greb dressed in black? Check... Aargh! But like I said, it turned out ok because they all got killed in admirably creative ways :D

Glad to hear it's not bad, I loved the first two, especially the ladder through the eye. And did you jump when the blond slapper in the first got splatted by the bus? I did.

Hmm can't remember. But I think it's a safe bet that I did, seeing as how I often jump at people saying "hello" to me...

Seriously? Are you daydreaming, or just naturally timid?

Dear me Zad, I believe this series of films qualifies as lowbrow entertainment, no? :P

When Zad drunk, Zad watch anything and laugh, as Zad mention many a time.
