never installed any games to mine, and they all work fine. *knock on wood*

if money is tight, then go for the 120 GB. if not, then having the extra storage will be good.

once you get that shit hooked up, get x-box live and post your gamertag.

do it!

Thank you boss (don't fire me), I'll do that. It won't be until a month or so, though, as I have more important stuff to buy before an xboîte.

How much is xbox live ?

depends on if you are getting 1 week or 1 year, obviously. 1 year usually costs $60 canadian. steep yes, but no hackers stealing your credit card information.

Yeah, just saw it was 60€/year. Teh fockorz !
Think I'll take it on a monthly basis, for more flexibility and less cash spent overall.

Guys, as I previously said I'm planning on buying a xbox. Question : is the 250 gigs version worth the extra 50€ ? Does installing games really make a huge difference ? Thanks.

Loading times are generally quicker when you install games. Also, the console doesn't make nearly as much noise when you play installed games because it doesn't need to read a disc. For games that have to read a lot of memory (Oblivion, etc.) downloading is recommended, but only if you have a lot of free memory space.

And Goat, learn to dodge / block! Or play as Ryu and shuryoken the shit out of everyone in retaliation to the fireball spammage.

Dodging and blocking is all I end up doing, the bastards time everything too well. And I refuse to sink to their level!

Thank you, I'll get the xbox slim 250gig. There's a pack (for an extra 30 bucks) with Halo Reach + Fable III. I know they're only decent games, but I think I'd buy them at some point anyway. Besides, I'll probably manage to sell them for 10-15 bucks each anyway, so...

Thx again for enlightening me, everyone.

Edit : I'll need to cut corners on something. Mmm. Food, probably. Yeah. Eating is so bourgeois.

Ton of Flames of War especially with my new German Panzergrenadier force.

Also Last Night On Earth and Chaos In The Old World.

Yep, those are table top wargames or board games. I'm a bit old school. In fact the only electronic games I have are on the reissued Sega Megadrive (Genesis for you Yanks).

I've wanted to get Chaos in the Old World for such a long time, but have always ended up buying something else. Seems like I won't be buying it next time either since I'm really looking forward to playing Arkham Horror.

Halo may not be for everybody, but Hale Reach is much better than just decent.

Portal 2 rocks. Only an hour into it and I don't think a game has ever made me laugh so hard.

I'm through with the new call of duties, man. CoD4 was the definitive one for me, all they've done since is make it worse.

Maybe when it's around ten euros, in a couple of years.

I received Red Dead Redemption, FF XIII and Fable II for the xbox 360 today, even though I don't own an xbox yet. And won't for a while.

I had good deals on eBay, before you ask. 27 euros for the three games. Not bad.

Good choices. FFXIII is really slow at first though.

Thanks, and yes I know about the rubbish first chapters of FFXIII, but the deal was good. I'm planning on buying Fable III, Halo Reach, NBA 2k11, Top Spin 4, Portal, Portal II, Mass Effect II, LA Noire, F1 2010... oh and plenty others. That's the good thing about waiting 5 years to buy a console. A lot of good but cheap games available.
